Great place for the breakfast. The milk money latte was delicious and the lavender latte my partner got was good but if you love lavender flavored drinks this is up your alley. The chicken and waffles had a great balance of flavors and the hangover bowl was hearty but needed just a little salt. Overall was happy we came here and would come back.
Great birthday breakfast/brunch spot! Service was excellent, kitchen was quick, cocktails were on point. We had espresso martinis and bloody Mary’s. Yum! The biscuits were to die for, so delicious! 😋 my son loved the avocado toast.
Willa Jean is an amazing find. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the decor is wonderful and the food will keep you wanting to come back for more. The biscuit plates are definite two-handers and will fill you up. I also had the "Hangover Bowl" that left me flabbergasted on how good it was. Grab a coffee and a pastry to go for later as well! You will not be disappointed!

The ambiance feels like you’re sitting at home with family, surrounded by the smell of fresh baked treats drifting from the kitchen. Our large group was greeted with genuine kindness, and the staff made sure everyone felt taken care of. I ordered the chicken and waffles, the hangover bowl with a side of brisket, and some fresh orange juice. The chicken and waffles were a standout twist on a Southern classic: a sweet potato waffle topped with rum sauce, spiced pecans, and marshmallows. It sounds bold, but every flavor worked together beautifully—familiar, comforting, and still completely unique. The hangover bowl was everything I love in one dish. The short rib was tender and seasoned the way my grandmother used to make it, paired with caramelized onions, roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, and all of it nestled into creamy, cheesy grits. This bowl was hearty, rich, and downright delicious. Honestly, it should come with a nap afterward. Before we even sat down, I was told Willa Jean is known for its biscuits, and now I understand why. They’re fluffy in the middle, golden on the outside, and absolutely worth the hype. If you’re in New Orleans and want to experience where flavor and hospitality meet, Willa Jean is a must. Whenever I return to the city, this will be a stop I come back to without hesitation.

Here's your review: Miss Eunice Hunt from Jazzy Hats shop in the French Quarter told me to go here when I said I needed some real shrimp and grits. And let me tell you!!!!!! They are celebrating 10 years of service as of 2025. The smells were great, they are health conscious, have milk alternatives for the café drinks, have REAL King cake served by the slice and you can pre order a whole one for $40. They make their biscuits from scratch, they has croissants, cookies, cakes, muffins, corn bread, pecan pie with a unique twist, and of course the shrimp and grits were soooooo flavorful. The staff were extremely friendly and diverse! 10/10 I will be back here as part of my New Orleans tradition from now on. I ordered to go and had my brunch poolside at my hotel and yes it was worth the wait! Enjoy!
