So good. Our waitress recommended the chargrilled oysters, I was hesitant because I hate the slime of raw oysters, but these were DELICIOUS. Full of flavor, well cooked, we wish we had gotten the full tray! The blacked gator was very good, and cooked well (not chewy). The fried pickles were also very good. They were cut thin, and battered thin, so they were nice and not soggy. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. The waitress was also a delight. We will definitely be back!
Fabulous dinner! We loved it so much we ate there twice in 4 days! The blackened gator was fantastic and I really hope they make it as a full meal instead of just on the flight/tri meal. The 2nd time we went our waiter made it happen for us so my husband and I had a whole bowl each of it. The shrimp creole was very very good as well as were the oysters Rockefeller. This is hands down the best meal we had our whole stay was the blackened gator! The staff were friendly both times and the atmosphere is laid back which is what we love. We felt welcomed and very well looked after. We will be there next trip! Wish I had not quickly mixed it up to eat and had thought to get a better pic especially since the owner is wanting to put it on the menu lol!
We know we are in New Orleans! Get it But if you have a restaurant and you know it's busy season hire more people, train them better do whatever it takes. The food was okay The services ... took forever to be seated with multiple empty tables . We were seated upstairs it looked more like a storage room with couple tables than a restaurant . Staff really didn't care much for the client. Wha a shame .
I was in New Orleans in February and was delighted to see a delicious restaurant from my past still thriving! It had been 25 years since I was in New Orleans and was excited to get to eat here again! I was not disappointed and the service was wonderful! Thank you for allowing me to get a menu for my collection..cannot wait to bring my sons in April!
Pros: - Quality of food: Authentic and Delicious. We ordered charbroiled oysters and jambalaya. - Service: Quick and Friendly Staff - Smells amazing before you even enter the restaurant - the open boil window to the street draws you in! Cons: - Bathrooms filthy and no soap or paper towels I would rate 5 star based on the pros. But hygiene is important (especially in food service). Thankfully, I had a bottle of hand sanitizer in my bag.
