Extremely attentive service and attractive atmosphere. Im a GF diner, so was pleased to see a few options called out on the menu. Server was also knowledgeable and helped guide me. Ordered the veal, and it was so salty it was inedible. Reddish was also ordered and was so spicy it was inedible. Thats the reason for the 4 stars.
My husband and I spent 3 nights in NOLA and this was one of our favorite stops. Food and service were amazing. We stopped in a few times on our trip and loved every experience. The chargrilled oysters were fabulous, as were the crab claw appetizer and the crispy Brussels with goat cheese. I added grilled shrimp to my Cesar salad my husband had gumbo. We had bourbon cocktails as well. The Cesar has toasted quinoa, which elevates the texture and makes the salad extra crunchy! On another visit my husband got the bbq shrimp po-boy and added crab, so delicious. Dicky Brennons always does everything right. Beautiful atmosphere, soft lighting, not too loud. A welcome stop on Bourbon street! 10/10 this was our first time eating here on a NOLA trip but it’ll be a staple stop from now on.
We came here on a whim because the other restaurant we wanted to go to was extremely busy. We were happy though with this choice. It's a little upscale, but very casual at the same time. Our server was nice and efficient and friendly and the food was good. We ordered two dozen oysters which were excellent. I got the pork belly bites and they were delicious. BF got the BLT wedge salad and it was a little disappointing. I got the gumbo and he got the crab and corn chowder which was delicious. We were celebrating our birthdays, and we're a little sad we didn't get a birthday dessert at the end, but it was fine. Overall, this is a great restaurant and we would recommend it to anyone.
Our server, Jason, deserved 10 stars. Absolutely wonderful! Gave great food tips, was extremely personable, and provided excellent service without being over solicitous. Bartender Frankie made THE BEST Old Fashioned outside of Wisconsin I have ever had. Food was terrific, atmosphere was "old New Orleans ". Loved everything about it. Can't recommend it enough.
We made a reservation as soon as we checked into our hotel and headed straight to Bourbon House for dinner. The restaurant is located on a lively stretch of Bourbon Street, and the atmosphere hits you immediately — vibrant crowds and incredible live jazz spilling into the street. It felt like the perfect New Orleans welcome. We were seated right away, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. To start, we ordered the char-broiled oysters — rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. For the main course, we had shrimp and grits and the fried shrimp platter. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and full of classic Louisiana flavor. We finished with crème brûlée, which was smooth, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending. Everything came out quickly, the food was excellent, and the overall experience was fantastic. Definitely a spot we’d return to on our next visit to New Orleans.
