10/10 experience at Fiery Crab! We were seated as soon as we arrived, which was a great start. Our server, Mae, was so sweet and made sure our food came out hot and exactly how we asked for it. Even though we got the $23 deal, it was super filling, and they even gave us lemon on the side without us having to ask. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the service was amazing. If you go, definitely ask for Mae—you won’t be disappointed!
Gave this place a 3 for a few reasons. Since it was a DoorDash order, I guess service:food can be gaged together vs the atmosphere. What I can say is that I was truly disappointed with my gumbo! I have attached a photo bc you have to see to believe. The container was full to the rim of more broth than anything and what you see at the bottom is what pretty much was there minus a spoon I had consumed already. On the contrary, the crab legs were delicious along with the shrimp fried rice. Fried shrimp is fried shrimp so nothing different there. Maybe if I were there in person then maybe gumbo would have had less broth not sure. My DoorDash guy did a great job with delivery so a thanks on that.
Loved this place! The food was amazing and our server Cashmere was the best! She made our experience so much better! Very sweet and attentive. Gave great recommendations and even brought out complimentary dessert for my boyfriend since it was his bday! Would definitely go back.
Recommend stopping by this Fiery Crab near Saenger Theater in New Orleans. Fresh good tasting seafood. Tried raw oysters which were perfectly salted and good medium sized. Snow crab legs seasoned mildly had well balanced taste and were easily peeled. Boiled Crawfish were small but February 4th is very early in the Crawfish season. They were prepared excellent. They came with sausage, corn, and potatoes. I tried the shrimp salad with the house spicy dressing. I think the dressing was similar to ramelaude dressing. Atmosphere was a perfect restaurant ambience with unique fixtures. There is a bar as all places in New Orleans should. One flaw was where we were seated a waft of cigarette smoke occurred two times. Not sure if it was coming from the window that the servers placed the dishes or if someone was smoking in the bathroom that was nearby. That is something I would expect the management can address easily.
I’m not that crazy if I seafood to begin with, but this place is insane We ordered the family meal Oh my God we ordered two and one would’ve been enough for the sex of us, we ended up taking one and a half of the trays home. It is delicious. The service is pretty good as well. Highly recommended.
