Someone recommended this place on my first day in the city and I’m so glad they did, since it quickly became one of my favourite places and I’d highly recommend! Whether you’re looking for affordable drinks, a full meal, or somewhere to chat with locals, this is the place to come! There’s lots of outdoor seating which is great for people watching but they also have some screens outside for keeping up with the sport. Inside there’s plenty of tables too and the bar area is spacious. Service sitting outside can be a bit slow at times, but it’s always friendly and each staff member is knowledgeable about the menu should you have questions. Prices for the food are really good given the portion sizes and the po’boys are particularly impressive. The drinks are where the value really excels though and I don’t know anywhere else in the US where I’ve been so impressed with the prices! A great place and the only spot I returned multiple times to during my time in the city!
We stopped in here to give them a try. We walked past this place a week ago Saturday, prior to our cruise, and one of the waiter spoke to us an was friendly. So once we returned from our cruise we came back, we stopped in for our supper. Fred had the Debris Fries and I had the BBQ Mac and Cheese along with trying the Paradise Park beer. All I can say is it was definitely a good choice. Everything tasted amazing and thr next time we are in NOLA, we will stop by here. The service was excellent, our waited checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of. We loved the atmosphere, we chose to sit outside, as the weather was perfect, but the inside looked just as inviting. We hope to be back soon!!!
We always make a point to visit Ernst Cafe when in NOLA! Great food and drink prices! Daniel provided excellent customer service! It’s worth the walk from the French Quarter! And don’t forget to educate yourself on its history!!!
We ate upstairs in the bar. You order from the bartender. Being about 1:00 on a rainy Saturday it wasn't busy and we enjoyed sitting by a window near the patio. Anyway, the food was amazing! Authentic, fresh Cajun cuisine. Great menu options, like 2 bites in and I'm thinking we need to come back for dinner. I had the fried shrimp, and my husband got the Cajun grilled shrimp. Their Cajun seasoning is delicious!
Just a great place to start when heading to the French Quarter. Located next to Manning's, this place is a stunner! Great food, fantastic beer prices and a variety of shot deals! Rob, our server, was smashing!! Great recommendations and uber attentive! The choices of dining outside, inside or on the balcony above the street is awesome! This place is just a couple of blocks up from Canal Street and the French Quarter. Highly recommend it to get your evening on the Quarter started!
