A friend brought me here to try beignets and I thought they were pretty good! They reminded me of a funnel cake but in pastry form, and considering I love funnel cakes, I enjoyed them. The area did kind of smell like trash, but I’m finding that might just be a New Orleans thing. I would like to try beignets from a few other places around the city to get a better perspective on the quality and taste, especially since these were my first.
Love visiting here! Would recommend coming here instead of cafe du monde! The staff is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, & kind! It was so good we came back before we ended vacation. I would recommend trying their frozen mocha cappuccino & ordered a bacon egg breakfast sandwich! Of course you must try the New Orleans powdered sugar coated beignets also!
Cafe Beignet is well known for its freshly made, hand-pulled beignets we drove 2 hours to come here to devour some. They are also known for chicory coffee, and vibrant courtyard setting. Guests can enjoy live jazz music every day while taking in the bronze statues honoring New Orleans’ famous musical icons, creating an authentic French Quarter experience. Really nice setting for an afternoon stroll through the area, with music.
I haven’t found grits I like until here. The side of grits with the crawfish omelette were so good it gave me the courage to just get crawfish and grits the next morning. I ended up getting a serving to go I thought it was that good. The people that work there however, minus the people running the food, were some of the sourest faces I’ve seen in a long time. Two days in a row just as rude. Impressive. But ignore the bad attitudes and enjoy the food and live music. Oh and the iced hazelnut au lait was perfect on a humid morning.
Y'all need a sign AT LEAST THAT SAYS PUT YOUR ORDER IN AT THE CAFE !! Because as new comers first time there we sat for a long while waiting for someone to bring us menu. Then we just walked up and ask someone... And for that I put only 3 ⭐ on service and atmosphere. I got the Beignet which come in 3 . I ate one while there, they was good and hot, a lil to much power sugar when I went to eat it the power got all over us lol
