An Absolutely Phenomenal Experience! Spicy Mango in New Orleans exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, everything was phenomenal! A very special shoutout to our waitress, Alex, who truly made our experience unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu and offered wonderful recommendations that guaranteed an exceptional culinary experience. Her suggestions were absolutely on point, and you could tell she genuinely knew and appreciated the menu. Every drink was delicious, and each entrée was prepared to perfection. Honestly, we enjoyed everything so much that we had absolutely no room left for dessert! 😂 If you’re in New Orleans and looking for amazing food, great drinks, and outstanding service, Spicy Mango is definitely a must-visit! And if you’re lucky enough to have Alex as your server, you’re in for an even better experience! Exceptional food + exceptional service = an unforgettable dining experience. We will definitely be back!

Jayla was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and had such a great attitude and personality. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and made our experience feel extra special. The food was incredible! We ordered a variety of items from the menu, most of them recommended by Jayla, and everything exceeded our expectations. That says a lot, especially coming from my mother, who is a Jamaican native and rarely enjoys Jamaican food outside of our home, lol! When we told Jayla we were celebrating my little brother’s graduation, she surprised us with celebratory virgin shots! If you visit Spicy Mango, make sure you request our girl Jayla as your server. You won’t be disappointed!

Delicious food, great service, beautiful environment but too loud. Easy to find. There’s limited street parking and paid parking areas nearish to the restaurant. Toe decor is just beautiful, love the colors and the ambiance. Major complaint is the music volume. Great playlist, but we could’ve hardly hear each other at the table and when our server was speaking to us. Melanie was our server. She was bubbly, very attentive, answered all our questions, and made great recommendations. She also gave us warnings on the level of spice on certain dishes. Now the food: Joshi Bread was dense, but the guava butter made up for that. Coconut shrimp was very coconut-y and one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The half Jerk Chicken had the perfect level of spice and a generous portion. The Oxtail Mac & Cheese had the perfect amount of oxtail and cheese…easy to share for 2 people. At the end of all this food, we ordered the Mango Pie. It was described as if sweet potato pie and cheesecake had a baby…and it was spot on. Such a great way to end the meal. Definitely come hungry because by the time dessert came, we could’ve been rolled out of there.

We just got off the plane, and Spicy Mango was our very first stop in New Orleans. What an incredible introduction to Southern hospitality! Our server, J. Lynn, was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, humble, kind, and so genuinely sweet—a true breath of fresh air after a long day of traveling. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down and truly set the tone for our visit. The food was delicious, but JaLynn’s outstanding service made the experience unforgettable. She is an amazing addition to this restaurant, and we’ll definitely be back because of the hospitality we received. Thank you, JaLynn, for making our first meal in New Orleans so memorable! You are a true gem to Spicy Mango.

The vibes created here are immaculate, from Priest the security (I would say the point person for everything), to the restaurants decor, everything here was made to feel trendy and New Orleans st the same time. First, only come if you have a reservation, even during the week. They take walk ins, but I can tell you the wait for a walk in table for any size party was sizeable. Especially, if you did not want to sit on their patio (which was beautiful, but humid) Our server Samania was attentive, knowledge and communicated well. The drinks and food were timed well, but our issue was the menu, it seems they had recently changed their menu online, but not in the restaurant. So our server had to verbal inform all customers of the changes, which was disappointing for many included us. We started with the mango habanero wings which might have been the best bite of food I had this trip, grilled, spicy and sweet, flavored to the bone, with a pickled onion on top. We would come back just for those. The braised oxtail were seasoned well, but could have been a little more tender, I do wish the server would have mentioned that our comes with a side, because the menu didn't say and I didn't ask, so I ordered the dirty rice with shredded oxtail, which was not as flavored as I would have anticipated. My husband got the jerk chicken Mac and cheese, which he absolutely loved. Service was fast and were we thought we would be waiting a while, we did not. Which was a plus.
