My son and I love finding new places to eat in New Orleans, especially since he is in college in the city. We always try and find Black Owned and Operated restaurants. This weekend we found a gem… Morrow’s on St. Claude. OMG… the food, the service, the ambience… amazing times 100! Bruce, Bruce, Bruce… our waiter was amazing, which really is an understatement!!! He made food recommendations, drink recommendations, dessert recommendations! But the best part was he helped my son, who has long locs and they were hanging, with the possibility of dipping in his food, Bruce asked if he needed a scrunchy, my son said yes, Bruce went in the back and cam back a few minutes later with a scrunchie/hair band to hold up those locs so he could enjoy his food! That is what I call customer service on the next level! Greatly appreciated! The food amazing, see the pics!! If you are ever in the NOLA area and looking to support US… try Morrow’s, you will not be disappointed!!!
Five across the board! My bestie and I were in town for Essence and made reservations that Saturday way in advance. We were immediately sat, even though we were 15 min early. Our server Whitney was amazing, as a former server I know what to expect. She recommended some classics and house specials. The food was delicious and flavorful. We shared everything. Gumbo and oysters as appetizers, shrimp and grits and a fish dish as entrees. I had the infamous “Morrow of the Story” drink and my friend had a lychee drink. I think I’m still tipsy, two weeks later trust me, get that drink! Overall the vibe was amazing. Great music playing, the owner stopped by our table, he’s very nice! I can’t wait to return next year. Matter fact can I reserve for 10 now and request Whitney?
This was one of the best restaurants I went to during my stay this time in New Orleans. It was a 20/10. My drink Morrow of a Story had a nice kick to it. The red fish babbbyyyyy soooooo delicious omg. Can’t forget the oysters, CHEF’S KISS! Last but definitely not least food can be delicious in some places but service is just ok, not here. I had the pleasure of having Semaj as my waitress. She was very sweet and knew that menu and made great suggestions. Truly a great asset at Morrow’s. Thank you for the service with a smile.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing experience at Morrows! Our server, Kenya W., was absolutely phenomenal. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Her customer service truly made our visit even better. I ordered the oysters with crab, mac and cheese, yams, and cornbread everything was seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious. My nephew had the seafood platter, and he loved it. My sister ordered the medium-well steak, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. For drinks, we had the Bywater Peach Punch and the Morrow Story, and both were so good! They were flavorful, refreshing, and paired perfectly with our meal. If you’re looking for great food, delicious drinks, and outstanding service, I highly recommend Morrows. Be sure to ask for Kenya W.she’ll take great care of you! We’ll definitely be back.
Was in town for a conference and my Uber driver suggested we go here- it was so worth it!! My coworkers and I loved everything we ordered. The food, vibe and service were 5 stars. Also, the peach cobbler was the best dessert I think I’ve ever had. Shout out to Mimi for such great service! She took the time to talk about the dishes, the owner and the other restaurants. We ended up going to Spicy Mango and Monday because of her and the amazing food at Morrows. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!
