I'm a little bummed that I came here for my first meal, because now I'll be comparing every fried catfish and shrimp to this one. Amazingly large portions, something to keep in mind if you were trying to get a quick bite or light meal before hitting the street. But if you're like me that it was no problem and made for great leftovers to revisit at my hotel. I think my favorite part was the walkover on canal St during golden hour. Coupled with a great meal, this was an unforgettable first New Orleans experience.
The food was absolutely delicious, and Jason was an excellent server! Since we were visiting NOLA, he shared some of the city’s history and gave us great recommendations on other places to try. The service was excellent, prices were reasonable, and we had a great experience. From a millennial perspective, the atmosphere is definitely more mature, classy, and laid-back. It’s not a “turn up” spot—it gives grown, good food, good conversation, and enjoy the vibe. Overall, great food, great service, and a classy NOLA experience. Jason definitely made our visit even better!
Our server/waitress (& table-side comedian) Ursula was the best... she was amicable, offered great suggestions, and checked on our table with a good balance. Nice sized portions of food. My table enjoyed the food and atmosphere...
We don't find gluten free catfish ever and we were so excited to find it here. We each ordered the trio- oysters, shrimp, and catfish. It was so delicious and the complimentary potatoes were fabulous! The portion was extremely large and the price was affordable for that amount of food. Our server, Taylor, was attentive, kind, and bubbly. Service was pretty fast considering it was very busy. We were impressed. We definitely would recommend and we will be back. Thank you, Deanie's!
Definitely will come back. Loved the gumbo and spinach oyester . Loved the bread pudding Yummy food, . The flavors of the dish were truly exceptional and thoughtfully combined. Presentation was also a highlight, making each plate a work of art. Service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience.
