We stayed at The Roosevelt and definitely wanted to try the on-site restaurant. We also had someone recommend Domenica to us on a separate occasion. We made reservations for a Tuesday night at 5:30. There were not many people there at that time. Our server was Von, and he was outstanding! He was extremely helpful in helping us choose dishes that catered to my friend’s and my picky palates. We shared some ciabatta and a Caesar salad, both fantastic. She got the rigatoni, which was a little spicy, but she said it was very good. I got the gnudi, and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered some gianduja budino for dessert that was plenty to share later and was wonderful. We also had some bellinis to drink, a blood orange and blackberry. The atmosphere was very elegant, but not stuffy at all. Service was fast and attentive. We were both full, so the portions were great. I would definitely eat there again in a heartbeat!

I was in New Orleans for two days attending the National Charter Schools Conference and wanted to enjoy a good pizza at a nice local restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was excellent, and our server was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, the pizza was noticeably burnt on the bottom. To their credit, the staff handled the situation professionally and even offered not to charge for the pizza. Overall, great hospitality and service, but I hope they pay closer attention to the pizza coming out of the oven.

First time visiting this restaurant. I came on a Thursday night around 8 PM with a group of four friends, and we had made reservations ahead of time. The restaurant had a nice crowd—not too busy, but still a lively atmosphere. We ordered a variety of dishes to try, and there were definitely some highlights. The crawfish soup was beautifully done, and the cauliflower dish was absolutely delicious—both are items I’d gladly order again and will remember for a long time. That said, a few of the other dishes didn’t quite meet expectations. The rabbit and veal dishes, in particular, just weren’t for me, and I ended up sending them back. Thankfully, our waitress was phenomenal—very understanding, attentive, and genuinely tried to make things right, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a mixed experience. There were a couple standout dishes and excellent service, but also some misses. I’d recommend it for first-time visitors who want to explore the menu, but for me personally, I’m not sure I’d return.

We had a great dinner here! We didn't have a reservation after our other dinner plans fell through, but the hostess was able to seat us rather quickly. We started off with the meatballs and sangria. Then we had the Margherita and White Pizzas, as well as rigatoni pizza. I would definitely recommend!

The Margherita pizza and shrimp appetizer were delicious—especially the shrimp, which were outstanding. The truffle pasta, however, was just okay and felt overpriced. The wine was excellent, but our pasta arrived about an hour after we were seated due to a service error. (First they got a fish after 50 mins which we never ordered) We even had to refill our own wine, which was surprising given the restaurant’s upscale setting. There were no apologies from the staff for the late arrival for the pasta (1 h late) Overall, I’d recommend better coaching for the servers and a revisit of the truffle pasta recipe. There’s great potential here, but the experience didn’t fully match the luxury vibe.
