Want to start this off by saying our server Meghan was sooo nice! Friendly, fast service. Charbroiled oysters with crab were amazing. $18.99 for 6 of them, and then to add crab it was another $7.99. We also tried fried gator, and one of the platters consisting of shrimp and fried oysters (fried oysters 10/10). I had the martini and it was a bigger glass than I was expecting and strong! A little less on the sweet side, more on the tart side which I love so thank you Meghan for the recommendation!!
The locals said to go here so we had to check it out. Yesterday the line was crazy long. Today we were first in line right at 11 am It's unassuming on the outside but the food was delicious. Their Char grilled oysters can be ordered with crab meat atop. The seasoning is chefs kiss. I didn't eat the Oyster just the seasoning and bread. I love the flavor profile. I got the Boudin Egg Rolls and a crab cake with ½ Shrimp poboy & corn and crab soup. The egg rolls have great flavor but doesn't compare to the Boudin Balls I've previously had. I would say they're kid friendly. I liked the red beans and rice but everyone else didn't care for this batch. The shrimp were large and seasoned well as i didn't eat the bread. Everything is swift and made fresh.
I just had one of the best meals of my life at Acme Oyster House in the French Quarter, and I can't stop raving about it! This iconic spot knows exactly how to do oysters right, and their menu is pure New Orleans magic. The Chargrilled Oysters were absolutely incredible—sizzling hot, loaded with that rich herb butter sauce, and topped with the perfect melty blend of cheeses. Every bite was smoky, garlicky, and bursting with flavor. They were so good we ordered a second dozen! If you're an oyster lover, these are a must-order. We also tried the New Orleans Medley, and it was the perfect way to sample the classics in one plate. A generous sampling of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and grilled smoked sausage—all incredibly flavorful and comforting. It felt like a true taste of Louisiana in every bite.edbbe5 The vibe is lively and fun, the service was friendly and fast, and the portions are satisfying. Acme Oyster House delivers that authentic New Orleans experience you dream about. Whether you're a local or visiting, make this a priority stop—you won't regret it! Highly recommend—I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! 🦪🍤
Awesome place, great selection of authentic and fresh seafood and cajun cuisine. Got to eat twice here, and each time was great. Everything was great from the raw oysters, to the seafood etouffee with fried crawfish tails on top. Also has some killer fried shrimp, and the hottest cocktail sauce I've ever tried in my life lol. Just add a touch of ketchup to it though and you will be fine. Can't wait to return, keep up the fine work y'all.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely one of my favorite dining experiences in the French Quarter! Acme Oyster House truly delivers the authentic Southern seafood experience that everyone talks about. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the corn appetizer, which was flavorful and comforting. The raw oysters were incredibly fresh with no fishy smell at all, and the grilled oysters were amazingly tasty — rich, buttery, and full of that classic Southern American flavor. For dessert, the biscuit bread pudding was absolutely outstanding. Warm, rich, soft, and incredibly satisfying — definitely one of the highlights of the meal. I also tried their famous Hurricane drink, and it was surprisingly good and refreshing. Honestly, this restaurant impressed me so much that I’m planning to come back again tomorrow before leaving New Orleans. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the French Quarter and looking for authentic New Orleans seafood and Southern flavors.
