Nikkei Izakaya
New Orleans
Bewertungen
Okay, story time. Back in January 2020 before the rest of 2020 happened, I visited New Orleans and was utterly smitten with Carmo's on Julia street, and had daydreamed of getting back ever since. With another trip finally on my calendar, I found that Nikkei Izakaya was run by the same owners, and it was everything I had hoped for. Fantastic food, great drinks (cocktails and non-alcoholic), and the menu is clearly marked for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. I am full of ceviche and happiness.
I went here and ask for the food and the girl that was the waitress told me I have to go to the bar to ask for the food. Why do I have to wait for food that you can’t do your job to serve me? Bad service here … Then I was here when they made their ceviche and the whole bar where the restrooms he was cooking the food.
i couldn’t tell if the edamame was supposed to be cold or hot … some pieces were right out the freezer others warm… wild stuff here on any given night
Wow all the food was so good. Such friendly staff, we got to talk with the owner for a bit despite it being busy. Whether you’re local or visiting, I recommend coming out here. The one star reviews are not fair since they are complaining about it being 21+ with it being a bar but plan accordingly if you’re trying to come here. It seems like there is family friendly seating outside though
