Celebrated my birthday here, and it was my favorite meal of my trip. The bar programming is elite (Lindsey —you’re amazing). The food is equally as stellar: the salad was THE iteration of a perfect salad, the celery hearts paired with the bread service (smoked butter is insanely decadent), and the risotto…no notes! the team was attentive, knowledgeable, and overall the best part.
We walked in randomly hoping they had space for us and they did! Shout out to Roy, who was very kind and accommodating about us not having reservations. Food was amazing and the cocktails were almost better. I got The Goat which is made with a watermelon, tomato, goat cheese washed vodka martini. I could drink 10 of those. I wish we hadn't been in a rush to go catch up with friends but I will definitely be returning.
During my recent visit to New Orleans, I was eager to explore the city's culinary scene and indulge in the highest-rated restaurants throughout my stay. After sifting through MaMou countless reviews and admiring the stunning photographs of beautifully plated dishes, I decided to embark on this delicious journey. I'm thrilled to say that my experience exceeded all expectations! The atmosphere was amazing, the food was great, service etc… Overall experience was fantastic!
This restaurant is unassuming from the exterior, but walk in and you’re transported to the most beautiful and quaint French inspired dining experience! EVERYTHING we order was superb! The complexity, the textures, and the layering of flavors are not to be missed! I would come back to NOLA solely to dine at this restaurant alone! It is worth the trip and worth way more than the price! Also, Brian is top tier, he elevated our whole evening!
Small restaurant on Rampart Street on edge of the French Quarter. French not Cajun, despite the name, which apparently refers to the chef’s grandma, not the southeast Louisiana town. Small but delicious menu-quality over quantity! We had the braised celery hearts (good), salade maison (excellent), bread service (excellent), poisson a la florentine (excellent), and risotto (excellent). Tasty champagne and wines by the glass. Dessert was good, too. Efficient, attentive, professional servers. Definitely recommend and plan to return!
