I ordered the pad thai, tom yum noodles, and papaya salad. They have a fantastic happy hour that runs until 6:30 PM and offers a great variety of items. Pad Thai is my all-time favorite Thai noodle dish, and this version was incredibly flavorful and came with a very generous portion of shrimp. I really loved both the ambiance and the taste of the food. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
All our meals were amazing but that strawberry cheesecake was the highlight. Customer service was amazing and the Tai Iced tea was great. They had a price fixed lunch that includes lunch and desert or an appetizer that is good priced. The fresh fruit was complimentary and a good touch. I would recommend this restaurant for a visit for authentic Thai flavours
I had an amazing experience at Good Catch in New Orleans! I was genuinely impressed by the variety on the menu. Whether you’re craving classic Thai favorites or looking to try something new, there’s something for everyone. Every dish we ordered showcased the bold, vibrant, and authentic flavors that make Thai cuisine so special. You can tell that each plate is prepared with care and attention to detail, using fresh ingredients and well-balanced seasonings. What made the experience even better was the incredible staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive. It was clear that they genuinely care, not only about serving delicious food but also about providing excellent service and making every guest feel valued. If you’re looking for outstanding Thai food in New Orleans, Good Catch is absolutely worth a visit. I can’t wait to come back and explore even more of their menu. Highly recommended!
I live in Thailand and normally don't even bother with Thai restaurants in the US because I'm usually disappointed. Good Catch was a very pleasant surprise. I stopped in for lunch, came back for dinner the same night with a group of eight friends visiting NOLA, and then after seeing Chef Aom on the local news the next morning, I returned again for lunch the following day. That alone should tell you what I thought of the place. For dinner I was with five Americans who have collectively lived in Thailand between 2 and 20 years, plus two Thai citizens and an Indonesian. We all agreed this was the best Thai food any of us had eaten in the US. The standout dish for me was Chef Aom’s special NOLA Restaurant Week item — the Beef Short Rib Boat Noodle Soup. Absolutely outstanding! The fish cakes brought back memories of Thailand street stalls, the Khao Soi was excellent (and a huge portion), and the seafood dishes were fantastic. The combination of authentic Thai flavors with fresh New Orleans Gulf seafood was exceptional. Chef Aom and her team are doing something special. Their “Thai Select” certification from the Thai government is well deserved, and the menu goes far beyond the usual American Thai restaurant offerings. I've eaten at restaurants all over Thailand, and Good Catch can absolutely hold its own. If you're looking for authentic Thai food with a New Orleans spin, this place is a must-visit and one helluva… GOOD CATCH. 😉👍🏼
We are from the Northeast, and try to make an annual pilgrimage to New Orleans for one or two weeks of Jazz Fest. We love the music, food, and culture of the City. During our 2025 visit we discovered Good Catch Thai Urban Bistro, and were wowed by the frozen Mojito, the creative Short Rib Khao Soi Udon, and assorted other menu items. We knew it was a must return during 2026, when we visited twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. We were not disappointed. The quality of the food- freshness, texture, taste and presentation, was amazing! We explored deeper into the menu and were impressed across the board. Favorites, if we must make choices, included the Crispy Whole Sea Bass, the Tuna Tartare Laab, Bacon Cabbage, Papaya Salad with Shrimp, Pad Thai with Shrimp and Scallops, and the Mango Sticky Rice. Over the years we have eaten at many of New Orleans top restaurants. Good Catch now belongs on that list for us and we look forward to our return in 2027.
