They give you really nice portions. Prices are good. Everything we got was outstanding. Seasoned perfectly. I love the atmosphere with the great New Orleans tunes playing in the background. Great service. Our server Ata was awesome. He served everything with a smile and a great sense of humor. There was six of us. And he was very professional the whole time he catered back and forth for me and my family. Having great service made our experience fun and lighthearted. Thank you Ata. We will definitely come back the next we visit New Orleans.
Baabbby… I’m from NOLA, born and raised, so I know what our seafood is supposed to taste like. Snappers looked promising, but whew… the flavors just didn’t show up. Gumbo: It looked like gumbo, it smelled like gumbo, it even had the bay leaves floating like they meant business, but the taste was more like a stew trying to cosplay as gumbo. No depth, no richness, no NOLA soul. Chargrilled Oysters: This one hurt my spirit. I’ve been eating chargrilled oysters all my life, and I consider myself a true connoisseur. These were topped with so much cheese that all you tasted was cheese. No char, no flame, no smoky flavor… just cheese on a shell. Very disappointing.😒 Seafood Platter: My husband ordered the platter with two sides. They put the salad AND the onion rings on the same plate as the seafood. Who does that? And you could taste that the frying oil had been working overtime, everything had that “same oil all day” flavor. Blackened Gator: Just okay. Kinda dry. Nothing special. The restroom: They were clean, but baabby, they definitely needed some air freshener. There was a smell lingering in the hallway. The walls leading up to the restroom looked like they hadn't been wiped down in a while, and the light switch, LAWD, downright nasty. 😵💫 The service: Just so-so. He seemed rushed and not very personable. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but ok! He checked on us a couple of times and then started clearing the table while we were sitting there. He said they were closing in 15 minutes but that wasn't true🤨 People were still walking in and being seated when we were headed out. Overall, we tried it… but we probably won’t be back. You might enjoy it, who knows🤔 but as a NOLA native, this just didn’t hit the mark for me.
Service was pretty quick and the food came out hot! The cajun and rockafeller oysters were amazing! I would come back again, just for those. I also tried the cajun calamari. That was good as well, though it seemed a tiny bit tough. The ramalade thay accomanied it was just enough. But if you are a dipper, the serving size was on the smaller side. The taste of New Orleans platter was nice. All of the dishes were protein and veggie packed. Also servedd was the cajun jalapeño burger looked amazing and hefty, and the shrimper platter was plentiful. Will I be voming back here again? Yes. What will I be getting? The oysters 😋.
Food was great. Personally would prefer a bit more seasoning but felt like I got our moneys worth for sure. Ata provided excellent service and the staff was very polite. We were seated very quickly for a Friday evening at 6:30. I would come back just to have their potato salad again! The hurricane drink was mixed well and strong. Background music and overall vibe was nice. Would definitely return here. *edit. Loving the red beans and crawfish etouffee as well!
Fresh oysters, gotta get the taste of new orleans, and the blacken gator bites are FIRE!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 and i had the best potato salad here. id definitely comeback and recommend. Max the waiter was awesome, he seated everyone and he was out waiter. He did the whole 9 with no mistakes! Memorized all our orders too! Is he the owner? Service was quick and emaculate!
