Ethan was our server, and he was wonderful! Super honest about the recommendations, and I always appreciate that, especially when it comes to restaurants I’ve never been to in a city I’ve never been to. My fiance and I ordered the Taste of New Orleans (etouffe, red beans and rice, jambalaya, and shrimp creole), the fried catfish and shrimp platter, and the half dozen charbroiled oysters. I’d rate the items as follows: Etouffe: 2/10 (it had this weird acidity like vinegar) Red beans: 6/10 Jambalaya: 4/10 Shrimp Creole: 2/10 (it was very tomato heavy, which Ethan did mention) Catfish platter: 10/10 Oysters: 7/10 (they were a little chalky and $20 for the half dozen 😭)
We went there with a group of about 10 people. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The passion fruit hurricane was refreshing and delicious. I have to admit when I order a hurricane in New Orleans I kind of expected to come in these traditional hurricane glass. The Rocks glass was a minor disappointment. I know that's super specific and picky! The fried catfish over jambalaya who was delicious. The portions were tremendous! My wife got the crab cake appetizer which was unfortunately very overcooked. The table shared if you appetizers which were all very tasty.
My husband and I had a fabulous dinner here. Upon arriving a little early for our reservation, we were seated right away. I ordered the crab cakes, which were delicious-flavorful, nice texture and big! My husband enjoyed his red beans and rice topped with sausage. Service was top notch! We would definitely return.
This place was a surprise find! It has a quiet, upscale atmosphere, and a lovely courtyard. We went on a weeknight and were able to get in right away with no reservation. They have plenty of seating. The service was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable, and portions generous. I had the pecan crusted redfish, and it was outstanding! The seasoning was perfect, and the piece of fish was huge. The citrus vinaigrette on the seafood salad was really good. We also had the alligator bites which were very tasty. They have a fairly extensive drink menu with some fun choices as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Quick delicious pitstop was worth it! Very quick service, convenient location, very nice service folks especially Praveen Raj was very engaging and conversational, gave us great local tips! They did have smaller and larger portions of hot delicious food which worked for us! Hubby was stoked to find okra in gumbo, thats the authentic recipe! Perfect ambience indoors & outdoors, even the fries were. Perfect!!!!
