Had a wonderful breakfast here! We tried the French toast bites, biscuits and gravy, and fried green tomatoes—everything was delicious and full of flavor. Our server, Misty, was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back!
The food here was amazing! We waited about 20 minutes to get a seat but it was worth it. We got the French toast with chicken and a breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, biscuits with gravy. Both were so good but I recommend getting a side of chicken for it because it was so good combined. I also ordered a latte and it was amazing. Pricing was okay for the experience and the good food. The place was full so the service wasn’t the greatest but it’s understandable because of the amount of customers. Would love to go again and I would recommend it.
First time trying shrimp and grits and it was amazing! Flavours and texture was so comforting it feels like a hug in a meal. I loved the pickled flavour of the pepper as it helped balance the meal. I would definitely recommend this spot. My bartender Marlin? Was so friendly and helpful with the menu. Would def like to come back again before I leave at the end of the week. Coffee could be a bit stronger but it was fine and fried green tomatoes were pretty good with the sauce!
Breakfast Heaven! A "Must-Stop" Every Time I’m in NOLA Ruby Slipper is hands down my go-to spot whenever I’m in town. It is the perfect place to go when you aren't sure exactly what you want, because they have a dish for every possible craving! The servers are fantastic—they really know the menu inside and out. If you’re feeling indecisive, just talk to them; they are great at recommending the perfect dish to suit your mood or your taste buds. You honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. That being said, you HAVE to try the Shrimp and Grits. Words truly do not describe the "taste bud heaven" that is coming your way with that dish. It is perfectly seasoned, creamy, and easily some of the best in the city. I love this place. It’s consistent, friendly, and delicious. Make sure it's on your list for your next New Orleans trip!
I was in New Orleans for my birthday and had to go back to Ruby Slipper to get breakfast. I got the fried green tomatoes and beignets on the house for my birthday. The shrimp and grits are good but the benny’s are why I go back. They are delicious especially if you get the trio. I went to two different locations while I was there. Decatur street and Canal. The only major suggestion is to always make a reservation because it’s popular and people love to go there!
