One thing people don’t realize is that the best time to hike around here isn’t midday when the humidity’s at its peak. Early morning or late afternoon, especially in the early spring or fall, is so much nicer. For something urban but outdoorsy, the Lafitte Greenway cuts right through the city with bike paths and walking trails connecting neighborhoods.
