Great food drink and atmosphere! Our server Pluto was so attentive and sweet. Oxtails and Mac n cheese were delicious! And for drinks highly recommend the casamigos refresher and smokin old fashioned. Will definitely be back!
I was looking for a restaurant away from my hotel and this was close and had a tempting menu (and better reviews than the hotel restaurant). I went at 5:30 on a Sunday and it was pretty empty but its a relaxed atmosphere with a huge screen where the world cup results were playing. I asked the waitress (who did a great job) what she recommended and she said the smothered catfish (which is what caught my eye on the menu too!). But she suggesred getting it with mac and cheese instead of mashed potatoes. I'm guessing there was an unstated upcharge because my dinner was $4 higher, although I wasn't told and there is nothing on the menu about the cost of substitution. There was no available beer on tap so I ordered a margarita. The food and drink was served quickly and it was tasty. I loved the catfish and the mac and cheese was a worthwhile substitute. The catfish comes with a light sauce, spices and tiny shrimp on top. The green beans were good. You only get a plastic fork but it did the job. And there is an automatic 20% service charge that is shared with all the staff. At checkout, you are also asked for a tip. I don't like it when restaurants ask again after a mandatory tip. I understand that my service was good but let me pay her directly then instead of a double hit - total bill was already $65 without an additional tip.
Our first visit to Head Quarters Nice Guys Nola. It's been on the list of restaurants for Essence. They did not disappoint. The vibe was amazing. The staff was very friendly and our server, Kai, was excellent and made sure we were taken care of. We ordered the Deluxe seafood platter, smothered Catfish, & a caesar salad. All of the food was delicious but the catfish was some of the best I've had. It was fried to perfection. All of the food was packed with flavor! We will definitely return.
My niece and I enjoyed mommy night out at Headquarters! The food was delicious and served hot! Also, the exceptional service provided by Miss Kyn was amazing! Kyn provided suggestions for drinks, apps, and entrees. We took her suggestions and everthing hit the spot! We ordered spinach dip, bang bang shrimp, ribeye, and the blackened red fish. Yummy, yummy, yummy! We enjoyed the welcoming environment and friendly. Make Headquarters your next dinner spot and ask for Kyn!

She didn’t just take our order — she made thoughtful recommendations, checked on us at the perfect times without ever being intrusive, and made sure every detail was exactly right. She is a true asset to the team, and because of her, we will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.
