Coolinary in August is always the best and the The Pelican Club Restaurant and Bar never disappoints. This meal was AMAZING! Every single item was cooked to perfection. Chris was also an amazing server 👏
We had a great time here. The waitress was very friendly and respectful. The food was delicious. We opted for the four course meal and it did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend the escargot, the lamb, and the C.A.B ribs, some of the best I've ever tasted. I believe the paintings on the wall were painted by a local artist which were very well done. There was a large party there that was loud but I understand the restaurant can't control those persons, that would be the only complaint I would have, but I do understand this restaurant is in the French Quarters.
Excellent. We managed to snag a reservation at 9:15pm, and thank goodness we did! All the food we ordered was delicious, starting with the gumbo my wife and I shared, then the scallops. The seafood was well-seasoned and tasty. And the coconut creme pie at the end was amazing. Best of all, it's close enough to Bourbon Street if you want to explore after, but far enough away to maintain the atmosphere. It's definitely on the pricier side but you definitely get what you pay for. I'd go back!
The food was good and the restaurant was fun. Everyone broke out in song for Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer at one point. My mom had to send her pork chops back because they were cold and the coffee came out cold as well but the staff was quick to fix it and get it back to us nice and warm!
Really cool building, but we were in the back (with brick walls that reflect sound). Sadly, there was a group of 6 very, very loud ladies at one table there that made it impossible to talk. We literally were texting to each other because we couldn't hear. We saw several people be relocated - which we should have availed ourselves of - but on with the review! The waiter was great (Tracy). The food was very good - the shrimp bisque excellent - the gumbo good but nothing special. The ribeye steak was excellent; the cioppino was very good but needed more soup/sauce. The waiter was very competent but a little unnerved by the noise also (IMO). Would definitely return. Without the loud table, atmosphere would have been 4+.
