Exceptional. Outstanding. Best breakfast in the area. Fast, superbly tasty, lots of various options for different preferences. Excellent service. Have tried most things but my favorite is the shrimp and grits. Perfectly cooked and seasoned jumbo shrimp over a beautiful bed of southern grits. I am from Charleston SC so we are very particular about both our shrimp and our grits, and this dish is the best I've ever had. For drinks, they make a great bloody Mary (I like mine as a Maria, with tequila) but also their cold brew is made in house and it's divine. Just add a little half and half for a drink that surpasses any Starbucks drink by a mile. Surprisingly reasonable on prices given the location as well. Yum. ♥️
From walk in to leaving, everything was perfect. Host was kind and friendly. Our server was fun and attentive, and the food came out quickly and was delicious. The coffee is fantastic. Atmosphere has great music playing, not too loud to drown out conversations though. Loved it here. My new favorite breakfast spot in NOLA!
One of the best grits I have had. Their ham and hollandaise omelet was ok. The seafood Eggs Benedict was real good. I would have given it a better rating but the seafood kinda overpowers t bb e rest of the flavor. Still a well made Benedict. But to me at least, there is something special about cafes that know how to make a good latte.
I recently visited Café Fleur De Lis for an early Saturday brunch, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We arrived early, so it wasn’t too busy at first, but it quickly filled up and had a wait as the morning went on—definitely a good sign. We were seated upstairs, which was clean, spacious, and a nice escape from the growing crowd downstairs. The atmosphere felt relaxed but still lively as the restaurant picked up. I ordered the seafood eggs Benedict, and it was hands down one of the best Benedicts I’ve had in a long time. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the hollandaise sauce was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious without being overwhelming. I also had a Bloody Mary that was exactly how I like it—spicy with a strong kick.
We were told a 20 minute wait when we arrived and it was almost to the minute and well worth the time! This was my favorite breakfast we had in New Orleans. The pancakes are exactly what you want when you think original, fluffy pancakes. The fried green tomatoes satisfied my craving for them. My boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy (sorry forgot that picture!) and said they were great too. You won’t regret the wait if you’re in town!
