The service was great - out server was super friendly made sure we were well attended too during the entire meal. Small details like when ordering the single salad to share they brought split into two already. The meal was also amazing from start to finish with food beautifully made and perfectly cooked from the starters to the entree and dessert.

Death by Gumbo! I never order gumbo at any restaurant but when you’re at Chef John Folse’s house - it was amazing! Also, the Old Fashioned sorbet was the greatest and most unique dessert I ever had. Oh, and I can’t forget the Steen’s whipped butter. We can’t rave enough about it all. Chef John Folse is my hero so it was quite a treat to eat at his place! But what made the dining experience even better was the service. Rory and Isaac waited on us, true professionals. They are on top of their game. Ask for these guys if you go.

The service- impeccable! The ambience- Amazing! Very lively atmosphere. Everyone chatting and laughing. It was a great vibe. The food was good. I may have made a mistake ordering the shrimp and grits, as it was not very good to be honest. I’m still going to rate the food a 4 because my sister loved the gumbo and the biscuits were so good. The oysters were really good too. Overall I would suggest dining here. It was a great experience. I really wish I remembered my waiters name. He was so bubbly and soo nice I simply couldn’t even bring myself to tell him I didn’t like the grits.

We made a reservation. Upon arriving, the place was beautiful! We were greeted and immediately sat down. Our table was in a perfect spot. The overall atmosphere was comfortable, and super fancy. I ordered the New York strip. I asked for medium well because I’m not a huge fan of super red meat. Our waitress told asked me if I wanted it filleted. I was taken aback - I didn’t know why that would be a question. She then explained that it would be hard to cook it medium well. I blushed and just said medium was fine. Then I asked for double order of Brussel sprouts. I LOVE Brussel sprouts and could easily eat 2 portions. She looked at me like I was crazy and slowly said “are you sure? I mean, one order of them is 4oz, it’s a lot.” I said I was sure, but she kept pressing that it was just too much. Again, I felt embarrassed so I just agreed to 1 order of them. But then got some whipped potatoes as well. Which she had no objection to. I was so confused. Anyway, how do I measure 4oz of Brussel sprouts? I mean.. come on.. let me order what I want. Besides this, our overall experience went well. The food was EXCELLENT. They gave us an interesting box of desserts (see photo). I was pleased and thankful for that. PS - the brussel sprouts were the best I ever had, so yes, I wish I had gotten 2 orders of it.

A fantastic restaurant with exemplary service. Wonderful food and drinks, done to a higher level than a lot of restuarants nearby. Expensive but well worth it for the experience and the quality. Make sure you have a reservation and dress for dinner. Recommended for its seafood and steaks, not for picky eaters, children, or those with seafood allergies. Get the fire roasted oysters and scallops, they are wonderful, and the grapefruit opera cake is divine. Perfect for a romantic dinner, a refined Cajun meal with a few friends, or an anniversary. Good for solo diners who want to treat themselves to a night out.
