King Brasserie + Bar

I stayed at Hotel Fontenot and had dining credits to use during my stay. A majority of my meals came from King’s and let me tell you, it was good stuff. The pictures are from Dinner, which I would highly recommend. The drinks were made well; I would recommend the Sidecar and the King pictured below. The Roasted Beets were a fresh and bright appetizer to start the meal. The Louisiana Blue Crab Cake tasted fresh and light. Wasn’t too fishy which I appreciated since I’m not 100% a seafood fan. The dessert was recommended by the waitress and was also very good, however it was my least favorite amongst everything else I had for dinner (drinks included). I also ate a lot of Brunch, however I don’t have pictures as I did most as takeout to my room. I highly recommend the following options: Avocado Toast, Steak & Eggs, Crawfish Beignets, and the Chocolate Praline Bread Pudding WITH Ice cream (it seemed like homemade ice cream). The staff were kind and friendly. I will say the Dinner staff seemed more lively than Brunch staff, but the service never suffered because of it. I highly recommend if you’re staying at the Hotel to enjoy this for at least one night. If you’re not a guest at the Hotel, I’d still recommend it for the food.
Don’t walk, run here!!! Amazing food &, by far, the best dinner we had in the city! Diamond & Dymond made our meal so special & were the ideal of southern hospitality. Food was outrageous. Also, first time I’ve ever seen an Amaro flight. Sooo good & highly recommend.
The atmosphere was quiet when we arrived but picked up quite a bit throughout the evening. Our server Brandi was kind and authentic in her recommendations and everything she said was true. My cocktail was a personal highlight very well balanced. The dishes were flavorful and a good size for the setting. Duck Confit and the Blackberry Crème dessert I would definitely return for.
Your love is king 👑 ❤️ This place was a surprisingly good little happy-hour spot. The king drink was enticing, and crawfish beignets were flavorful. The oysters were nice but not my jam. Plus, the mini platter had the oyster shell removed. I have my eye on the short rib next time. I enjoyed interacting with the staff and their knowledge of the menu.
I had breakfast at King’s for 2 days and Tuli took excellent care of me both days. She is super friendly & gave me food recommendations as well as things to do around the area. Maria is also really sweet & so welcoming the mornings I came in. Felt like reuniting with friends & she also offered great food/cafe recs around the area. I was lucky to have met Tuli, Maria & chef (I didn’t get him name ☹️) as they were wonderful company for a solo traveler like myself. The food was excellent & the company was even better. The service was very personal ❤️ I also had dinner one of the nights as well. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here.
