We ordered the duck empanadas and they were so amazing! We also had the Cajun Crab Stuffed Fish and the Louisiana Crab Cakes. Both were outstanding! The fish melted in my mouth. Also the jambalaya was the best I’ve had. The seasoning was something special. Chef’s secret recipe or so she told us when we asked her to come out so we could thank her for the wonderful meal. This will be a must stop for us on any future visits to the French Quarter.
Got the blackened chicken Alfredo & The Shrimp platter with a FREE crab cake appetizer. Everything was very delicious with huge portions. Our server Eric D was quick with refills, checking on us often but not annoying often. He made the whole atmosphere great and very chill as it should be! Will definitely come back!
Outstanding customer service from start to finish! The food was delicious the service was efficient, and stress-free. Every question I had was answered with kindness and professionalism, and I never felt rushed. It's was refreshing to step off of Burbon street into this escape the staff was friendly from the host at the door to the waiter even the manager came to our table. The manager spoke with us he was super friendly funny and personable. The staff showed they genuinely values their customers. I highly recommend a thousand times.
Popped in here for a quick bite to eat and was surprised. Great food that wasn't crazy expensive, really good drinks and super friendly and attentive service. Seating was comfortable with great AC. It was also a really fun atmosphere. Definitely will go back for some great tasty food.
We had a fantastic experience at Rex House! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our server, Michelle, was perfect — attentive, knowledgeable, and offering great menu recommendations, all with that warm Southern smile that makes you feel right at home. The Cajun Fried Alligator was perfectly fried and seasoned — crispy on the outside and tender inside, with amazing flavor. The Alligator Po’boy was just as impressive — generous portion, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We finished with the Bourbon Street Beignets, and I highly recommend trying them with a side of hot caramel. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. Highly recommend Rex House — we’ll definitely be back!
