Absolutely fantastic. Chef K is a badass, bar none - inventive food and super tasty. The foie gras is some of the best I've ever had - and I've had it everywhere (my wife says I'm a snob about it, and I kinda agree!!). Service was outstanding, super friendly and attentive, drinks are great as well. This has become one of our regular places!
Living pretty much across the street from this location has been such a sore spot in our hearts since Marti's closed, so we are absolutely THRILLED that Chef K opened Succotash Nola in it's place revitalizing it but not taking away the old charm of Marti's. The decor is updated but still has the Paristyle painting behind the bar, as well as the original bar that we loved so much. The dining room, which needed a big uplift, is absolutely gorgeous and elegant. The food - oh my god. We started with the Foie Gras, my husband is a total Foie Gras snob and said this is the best Foie Gras he's ever had, I like Foie Gras, don't really love it, but I loved this! I ordered the Tuna steak and my husband had the soft shell crab with microgreens, both were absolutely incredible. We got the tornado potato on the side with the roasted red pepper sauce 🤤 This was all for my husband's birthday dinner. Since then, we went for their incredible happy hour a few times and got their Deviled Offsrping, Jacques, Fromage and pretty much all their cocktails. We're making our way thru the menu 😂 Service - the staff here is INCREDIBLE! Chef K works so closely with her team, she also helps and hand delivers some of her dishes when time permits and ensures it is to our liking. From the host staff (Naya, sp?) Brittany (our server) and our bartender (Starts with an M I think, I'm so sorry, I normally write it down!), they pay so close attention to detail and are so friendly, this place is an absolute gem!!
So first of I'm 100% Vegan and wanted to find a place to take my meat eating friend celebrate her birthday. I always have low expectations but everything I ate was amazing, full of flavor and refined. I had the gaspacho, the tornado potato, the I.y.k.y.k and a bunch of drinks. Everything was amazing and just surprising good. My friends didn't like the Crab menage a toi but they loved the salmon one! The Figured it out salad was amazing and they liked the pillow talk too. All in all 5 stars. I told the chef that her menu is great and letting vegan know that letting people know we can great things would be great. They could do some gluten free but not sure. Zada was beyond amazing! Hey customer service was so amazing and she made my friend feel so special. Also the hostess was really sweet and fun. And yes the chef is really cute too and talented.
omg what a great find! loved our meal and the restaurant/bar was great. very rich food and so southern. from the fried anchovies on the cesar salad and the crab ménage a trio for me were amazing. everyone else loved their dishes equally as well. definitely worth the stop!
What a beautiful restaurant! It’s so nicely done. The food is fantastic and the staff was super attentive and very well informed about the menu, ingredients, and the dishes. This is innovative upscale fine dining. This chef knows her chilis, everything was balanced to perfection and she brought just the right amount of heat. Exceptional plating and beautiful presentation as well. I will absolutely be dining there again and have encouraged my friends to do the same.
