We had a cute honeymoon dinner here on the balcony Saturday night, labour day weekend. Best bite we've had in New Orleans! The Voodoo Queen charred Oysters were absolutely unreal! My wifes Pompano was 10/10, and my Buccatini was 'clean the plate' delicious. Connor looked after us and was great - thank you SW!
Seawitch was amazing! Nothing could have been better in my opinion here. The staff was friendly and attentive. Made you feel as if you were a part of the team! The food was incredible delicious I chose the Seafood Beignet and the Rockefeller Oyster Dip, and they were both filled with flavor! Also gave a raw oyster a try since they were only for a $1 for one! The Seafood Beignet was crispy on the outside and creamy and warm in the inside. The Rockefeller Oyster Dip was packed with flavor. Great work you guys!
Delicious! We got the grand tour char-grilled oysters, and they were Delicious. The were cooked to perfection, and each flavor was unique. I enjoyed all the flavor combinations, and thought they were all beautifully tailored. The bread was pillowy soft, and perfect for finishing up the oysters with. We also got the crab avocado toast, and the gouda grits. Both of which were very well prepared and delicious. Also shown is the Lousiana cheesecake. The cheesecake was good, very heavy, but delicious! The blueberry compote was my favorite part. We will definitely be back. (I was told the bread pudding is extremely good. I think we will try it next time!) Update: we went back the next day, and got a dozen each, I got the voodoo queen (after trying them yesterday) and they had bottomless mimosas when we went. Every Oyster was delicious, and the mimosas were a great touch. They offered more than just orange juice, I went with the cranberry juice.
For the last day of our Mother Daughter trip, we went to the Seawitch for lunch, we chose it because it was on the COOLinary list of restaurants, had favorable and was on St Charles, no too far from our hotel. The Prix Fixe lunch selections and wine pairing were delicious. Our server Cynthia was a gem, personality-wise and service-wise. We also had a chance to speak to Head Chef Josh, to get his take on the creative process of putting delicious authentic flavors together. We sat upstairs, inside though, not on the balcony, August was a bit hot for that. The music was not too loud or too brash, the AC not too cold, and one of the French doors were open creating good circulation. Wonderful experience will return and recommend to friends and family visiting New Orleans.
Our recent vacation to New Orleans wouldn’t have been complete without dining at the Seawitch Restaurant and Oyster Bar — and wow, what an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, the friendly service made us feel completely welcome, and the outdoor seating overlooking Saint Charles Ave created the perfect NOLA atmosphere. Now let’s talk about the food… the charbroiled oysters were absolutely fantastic, and the crawfish étouffée was hands-down amazing. My wife ordered the fried shrimp Po’boy with garlic fries, and my daughter enjoyed the salmon dish — every single plate was outstanding. Everything was perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and truly memorable. We couldn’t have been happier with our visit and will definitely be coming back next time we’re in New Orleans!
