Well I want to start with a food-it was good, but not worth the price. I asked if I can take out the coffee and they said no-because there are no paper cups… The waitress was very friendly but when I asked her if there is any happy hour for the drinks or promotion because it’s Monday -she said no. I ordered a glass of wine and really liked it. After that I asked her how much is the bottle and she told me it’s 50% off today… Why she didn’t mention it to me when I specifically asked her about it because I read it on Google reviews and asked her about discount- I have no idea. Another thing is-there was a couple sitting next to me and the lady said she is thinking about ordering seafood cannelloni and because the tables are so close in the arm’s length and I wanted to be helpful I told her that was the dish I just had and it was really good and I highly recommend. Right after that she started talking to her boyfriend that I’m probably one of the staff that the restaurant hired to promote their dishes and how many restaurants often doing that.. she was saying that while I’m sitting next to them so I could hear…. it was such an unpleasant and embarrassing experience that never happened to me in the past (and I had done a lot of traveling) so I just took the check and left. Do yourself a favor and go to a decent restaurant in the French quarter or the center, because of this restaurant’s location this is the kind of people who come here which make your dining experience ridiculous…
Came here with a large group and had a great meal and experience! Making a reservation was super easy and our table was ready when we arrived. Service took a little while but the staff was friendly, made excellent recommendations and were happy to answer questions. We really enjoyed all our pasta dishes and thier bread with olive oil. Eggplant parmesan was some of the best I have had!
We had a small business gathering of seven people. We were nicely accommodated in an area of the restaurant where we could easily hear each other talk. I had the seafood cannelloni, with crab, ricotta, cheese, sauce, Newberg, grilled shrimp on top. It was delicious. One of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans. Highly recommended!
I had a perfectly delightful experience!! I was seated promptly and so courteously, my first visit and I immediately felt like a VIP. I am glad I made a reservation, I am obviously not the only person completely impressed with this awesome place because it filled up quick...on a Tuesday night!! I started with the artichoke soup. Not only was this soup incrediblely delicious, but it was served at the absolutely perfect temperature. Face it, how often does that happen?? It did for me! OK, the soup is a home run. Next, the fresh baked bread. Baked as if a master Baker from France was right there. Oh, I must mention that there was a special olive oil available for a slight uncharge. I would have paid double. The bread that came from a cloud with that tastebud charging olive oil was another win! For my main course I asked my cheerful, knowledgeable and super attentive server what she recommended. She said. The seafood canelloni. It was a literal taste powerhouse with every bite. In the end this unique establishment has the ambiance, the super incredible staff, and the outstanding offerings to make your night a blast! By the way, everyone in the place was having a great time. Positive happy energy just lights up this amazing place! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I'll be back for certain! Loved it! Did I mention is was affordable elegance?? It is!
My girlfriend and I shared the stuffed shells and bucatini. The bucatini was great. Smoky and spicy with the Benton's bacon being the highlight of the dish for me. The stuffed shells were somehow even better. The braised short rib ragu was absolutely to die for. The bread and olive oil, Caesar salad, cocktails(I got the gin one, can't recall the name,) and tiramisu were all delicious as well but the stuffed shells were the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere and service were absolutely top notch as well. I would come back to Pulcinella in a heartbeat!
