Regan was FANTASTIC! All of her recommendations were delightful. Get the mushroom toast, even if you don't like mushrooms. Maybe especially if you don't like mushrooms because this will change your mind. Cool building, inviting and warm vibe. 5 stars.
Went for a quick happy hour. Service was great, we sat at the bar. We got the adult happy meal and it was really good. I usually don’t talk about wings and believe wings are wings … but these were really delicious. There was some kind of dust seasoning on them. Very very good! The sliders were very tender and it came with fries and two sauces one being ketchup and the other was like a pink sauce. Very yummy. It even came with a glass of cava champagne.
A unique small 'Plates' restaurant conveniently located, yet outta da way. A fun, quirky menu of small plate items, beautifully presented and interesting flavor combinations. Expect the unexpected. Great craft cocktails menu as well. Alan and all the staff are very friendly and enjoy talking to visitors and locals alike. Due to its close proximity to the convention center, it may be populated by business-looking trade-show-folks with custom logo polo shirts, lanyards and name badges. If this is you, please change your shirt and take the lanyard off yer neck, cuz it ain't an Olympic medal, ya know! Locals who feel uncomfortable around the trade show crowd may wanna call ahead for a lanyard count.
Came here for happy hour on our last night in town and Plates did not disappoint!! Loved the food, ambience and service. Zack and Ash were really awesome servers and treated me to a little surprise for my birthday. The food was soooo good! The adult happy meal had such tasty fries, lamb sliders and Asian wings. The crawfish potato skins were out of this world - probably the best single thing I ate in New Orleans.
We had reservations for a table of five at Plates, located in the warehouse district, for a Saturday night dinner. The restaurant, a beautifully renovated cotton mill, offers a cool, contemporary, and upscale ambiance. The service we received was prompt, informative, and friendly. Our meal consisted of a variety of tapas and small plates, which we shared amongst ourselves and which received high praise from everyone at the table. The prices were quite reasonable, and the overall experience was outstanding.
