Olive is great if you need lighter, healthier food options. It’s within walking distance of the French quarter. Service is quick, friendly, although the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired compared to the rest of the restaurants I’ve been to in New Orleans. But great for healthy delicious option.
Wanted to have a vegetarian meal while visiting New Orleans. Olive did not disappoint me. I ordered the vegetarian plate on a hope and wish, but it was delicious!! The flavor is robust and the size portion was wholesome. Restroom was tidy, which is very important! The server Hani was very nice and answered all of my questions with assurance. I’d definitely come again and recommend others!
After long Jazz Fest days eating at the fairgrounds or indulging in the French Quarter, my body was craving a quiet spot and clean food. Olive serves exactly what I needed! Authentic Middle Eastern food with quick and friendly service. Not a fancy place, but very good quality food. No picture because I ate it before the plate hit the table but you should know Olive serves delicious baklava!
My top 3 Mediterranean restaurant in US. Came here to take out dinner while visiting New Orleans, everything was just perfectly cooked. The lentils soup was hot and flavorful, the gyro plate was a good portion and delicious, the salad was very fresh, I particularly like their dressing- not too salty or sour. We made anther 2 visits before we left New Orleans. Highly recommended.
Amazing delights! We were in town for a conference and chose Olive for dinner. It was outstanding! The chicken kabobs had such a delicious flavor. The hummus was drool-worthy. And the baklava was simply heavenly. We are going to return with a larger party from our conference on another night!
