Molly’s Rise and Shine was one of our breakfast stops while in New Orleans. The restaurant has a fun, quirky atmosphere filled with 70s and 80s nostalgia. The food was good, but what impressed me most was their commitment to being Celiac-friendly. It’s rare to find a restaurant that not only offers gluten-free options but also takes the extra precautions to help prevent cross-contamination. I was able to enjoy their hash browns without worrying about my gluten allergy. If you have Celiac disease or a gluten allergy, I highly recommend adding Molly’s Rise and Shine to your New Orleans itinerary!

Molly’s is so cute! There can be a wait, so plan accordingly, but it’s perfect for a nice breakfast in a unique setting. The collard greens are very spicy… but tasty. Great spot when you’re craving something indulgent for breakfast.

Love the vintage decorations! The staff were so hospitable and friendly! I want to come back every morning! The regular chicken biscuit sando, the spicy version of it, and the biscuit and gravy are so flavorful and great portion size! Plenty of seating inside and out.

Stopped by Molly’s Rise and Shine and really enjoyed it. We ordered the Grand Slam, the Chicken Biscuit, and the Carrot Yogurt. Everything was well‑made and had its own personality. The Grand Slam was a solid, classic breakfast done right, the Chicken Biscuit had great flavor without being too heavy, and the Carrot Yogurt was a nice surprise — fresh and different in a good way. The atmosphere is definitely unique. The space has a quirky, playful feel that makes it stand out from typical breakfast spots. It’s the kind of place you remember. Overall, a great stop for breakfast in New Orleans.

4 Stars — Great Vibes and Bold Flavors (With a Couple of Small Tweaks Needed) I had a really good experience at Molly’s Rise and Shine. The decor is fantastic and nostalgic, the service was incredibly timely, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into the menu. I want to be clear—this is not a bad review, but as a fan of the food, I noticed a couple of things that could make it even better next time. We tried two different sandwiches, and while the flavors were great, both were right on the verge of being a tad over-salted. Additionally, the chicken was just a hair overcooked and a bit dry. Despite those small technical slips, the overall quality is high and the atmosphere is top-notch. I’m definitely going back and I’m looking forward to seeing if those kitchen details are dialed in on my next visit. This place is a gem in the Irish Channel and well worth a stop!
