Meril was one of our favorite meals in New Orleans! They were incredibly accommodating for our party of 8, which made for a great start to the evening. I was a little hesitant when I first saw the smaller menu, but every single dish we ordered was outstanding. It's perfect for sharing, tapas-style, so everyone gets to try a little bit of everything. Our table shared the shrimp tacos, fried turkey necks, meatballs, dumplings, deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, flatbread, candied ribs, and shrimp pasta, and there honestly wasn't a bad bite. The meatballs were my favorite—packed with flavor, tender, and easily something I'd order again. The cocktails were also excellent. I ordered the Spicy Margarita. Though I personally would've liked more heat, it was delicious. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, and the food exceeded all expectations. Don't let the concise menu fool you. Meril absolutely delivers on quality and flavor. If you're visiting New Orleans with a group, this is a fantastic spot to share plates and enjoy an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend!

Omg! Def worth the hype and the name. This place lives up to the name Emeril. Service was top notch. Food was OMG. My DH said one of the best sauced ribs he ever had and yes it was! The brussel sprouts were crispy, and sauced to perfection. The deviled eggs were good. The gumbo was OMG - divine. We didnt care for the sweet pineapple cornbread but that could just be our taste, it was too sweet for us. The drinks were good. The birthday treat was perfect- cotton candy. light and fluffy even after we were full. Hot hand towels to wipe your hand after you finish. Again service was top notch. We would def go again.

We dined at Meril and started with a Congo Square Punch mocktail along with several appetizers. The Korean fried chicken wings and pineapple upside-down cornbread were both delicious, and the boudin balls were good, though the sauce on top had a strong horseradish flavor. For small plates, we tried the fried turkey necks, candied pork ribs, Gulf shrimp with pork dumplings, and crispy Brussels sprouts. Overall, these were enjoyable. For our main courses, we ordered the fettuccine (with added grilled chicken), a double cheeseburger, and the buttermilk fried chicken. We were disappointed that the entrees didn’t come with sides, especially the fried chicken. The added chicken for the fettuccine was limited (about four pieces) and felt overpriced. The cheeseburger was good but not standout, and the fried chicken was more heavily battered than we prefer. Overall, the appetizers and small plates were the highlight of the meal.

We had a top notch experience here for lunch. The atmosphere, service and food were all exquisite. Our servers were on their A game. They handled our questions, and made suggestions. They kept our drinks full and didn’t miss a beat. There were seven of us. We tried several small plates and also ordered gumbo. The flavors were spectacular! We loved our meals here! Highly recommend.

The food and service is good, but the portion sizes are small. We ordered 3 of the Pineapple Upside-Down Cornbread snacks for a group of 6, since the picture is the portion size of 1. This was my first time trying Gumbo, and it was good. The bowl is double the price of the cup.
