Free parking but limited. The food was good and plentiful, shrimp poboy was great, the 2 platters were very plentiful and comes with fries or shrimp fried rice as side, enough for leftovers just not crispy the next day, still very tasty. Steam table you can order from immediately with daily specials. Service was ok but not very helpful or friendly - you order from board posted and pick up when number is called, all served in styrofoam. Would do again. Popular spot, lots of traffic to go. Spicy hot butter was different, sweet but spicy and thick with seasoning. A bit older building but clean.
Super flavorful smoky and spicy seasoning on the seafood! All were well cooked and very reasonably priced. This place was recommended by a local and I’m so glad I got the chance to try it.
Don’t let the outside fool you, this spot may look like a low budget, hole in the wall seafood joint, but the food was honestly very good. The crawfish had a spicy hot kick to them that was full of flavor, and the sausages and turkey necks were absolutely delicious. This was our first time trying this place while visiting New Orleans based on a coworker’s recommendation from Florida, and it definitely did not disappoint. Luckily we got there before the rush, so our food came out pretty quick. Not long after we were seated, the line picked up fast with about 15–20 people waiting, which clearly says a lot about the place. Definitely worth checking out if you want flavorful Cajun seafood without all the fancy hype.
I never had a bad meal. Never had a bad bag or anything. Never had a bad box of anything. Never had a bad bite of ANYTHING! If you like flavor, seasoning and spice, this is your spot! I always get turkey necks, snow crab, corn, potatoes and eggs. Service is consistent and quick. This location is always clean and the restrooms are attended to. (Only posted my bags this time because I was ready to eat 😂 maybe I’ll post more later!)
