Really enjoyed our visit to this particular Café Beignet location. We sat in the garden area, and it had such a peaceful, homey feel—it almost felt like having afternoon snacks at home in the country. 🌿 Lexi ordered the coffee and really enjoyed it. I’m not a coffee person, so I can’t comment much on that, but the beignets were the highlight for me. The portion is surprisingly large—I could barely finish one! They come with a generous amount of powdered sugar, and although I usually don’t like overly sweet things, I thought these were really good. Personally, I liked them better than Loretta’s. Definitely worth trying, especially if you can sit in the garden area!
The line moves fast and the staff will ask which beverage you would like when you are still in line. The beignets are soft and slightly chewy inside and have a thin crunchy layer outside. The powder sugar is not too sweet at all which I personally enjoyed it. Cajun hash brown is hearty and satisfying as a breakfast dish.
My husband and I visited a couple times. The service is quick and ok. Not super friendly like other places in the area. The food selection is ok. They were out of shrimp the afternoon we were there. The beignets were delicious. Music was good the one time we were there. The bar was busy when we walked by but when we visited it was lunch and we had coffees vs visiting the bar.
Cafe Beignet became my go-to morning spot while visiting New Orleans. I loved starting my day here with tea, a croissant, and a fresh strawberry cup. It’s where I had my first beignets—made fresh to order and really good! The vibe is more laid-back compared to other crowded cafés, which I appreciated. Plus, the location was super convenient near my hotel. They also have indoor seating and a nice outdoor courtyard to enjoy the weather. Service was friendly and efficient, especially during the morning rush. Would definitely come back for a quick breakfast or beignets on the go.
Cafe Beignet was one of the cleanest and nicest spots in the area. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food and coffee were both delicious, and the service was great from start to finish. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for the quality and overall experience. Definitely a place worth visiting.
