I had a great time at Vaughn's tonight. The atmosphere, staff, and drinks were great. I just want to ask that y'all reconsider how you mark guests as having paid for a show. Y'all marked my hand with a Sharpie which a) has chemicals in it that leach into my skin and b) took me 30 minutes to scrub off when I got home. Please consider using wristbands or something less invasive than Sharpie markers in the future. Thank you.

I spent New Year’s Eve at Vaughn’s and had an amazing time. The bar itself feels like what I felt in old New Orleans would in the best way. The interior is fun and colorful as are the people that fill its walls. The live band was great and the drinks strong. It’s definitely a locals spot which I enjoyed in contrast to Bourbon and Canal streets. If you’re in the Bywater or just want a laid back place outside of Downtown, Vaughn’s is a great spot!

Review long time coming. I had the best birthday of my life in this place. I will never forget it! What a magical night and place. Great strong cheap drinks, wonderful service. You feel at home like one of those local spots where everyone knows each other. It feels like family like you've come home. We went on the legendary Thursday that was recommended which happened to be the day my birthday landed on. When we arrived from getting dinner somewhere else in the neighborhood it was about 9pm so still early and not as crowded. The bartenders were attentive and the patrons all super cool. It started to get packed within the next two hours but even so it was a great crowd. No one was rude, disrespectful or pushing. I got Birthday drinks, money & wishes from amazing locals. Look up nOLA birthday traditions and you'll find out what I mean about the money. I love New Orleans & the amazing community. The performance was incredible! It's cash only and they do charge $20 cover for the performance the bar manager or owner a woman with glasses comes around to collect and it's well worth it! I saw Corey Henry & the Treme Funkett. Man what a show! The way that place came to life with both locals & tourists people of all ethnic & cultural backgrounds ages & walks of life moving to the rhythm. The room was nothing but love & unity there was something so special felt in the atmosphere that transcended time & dimensions. If anyone reading this has seen the movie Sinners there is a scene where one of the characters who is a very talented blues singer that plays guitar is performing and his performance is so powerful that it transcends all spiritual planes . The spirits of music of different ancestors from the past, future and present come together all as one. That is exactly what this experience felt like! Magnetic! No drama only good vibes and fun I didn't get to try the food unfortunately because we didn't know they would be serving food we had just come from dinner but it sure looked damn good! Delicious home cooked Bbq and traditional Louisiana Red Rice and beans and some fried fish as well. I would highly recommend all around.
