Reviews
I have visited Jolie numerous times and I’ve always had exceptional service from the bartender, Danielle. She is always attentive when needed, but never bothersome. Her timing is impeccable. Jolie will be a favorite spot of mine as long as Daniel is there!
I cannot speak for food as we came for drinks***. Gentleman at door and front host were great however, our service was terrible: told by server she couldn’t help us recommending us what to get because she didn’t know what we liked and when we did tell her along the lines of our drink of preference, she still responded with “yea idk what you want”… if this place is focused on making COCKTAILS you should have a small idea of what to reference us with. It just made us understand she didn’t even know the menu itself. A establishment like this should allow their staff to understand their drinks allowing them to expand their pallet so this allows a good sense of recommendations. If you also aren’t someone who necessarily drinks, there is always the “I don’t really drink however our common top contenders are these few drinks”. With that being said we ordered one drink from menu and a very basic go to drink. Our Drinks came back absolutely terrible. One sip and it was just a gag and Disappointment. An Extra dirty martini was purely olive brine, and the illegal mezcal drink tasted pure tobacco bitters and tomato water, barely tasted the mezcal as it was. Esthetically it is a beautiful location but needs to up its service and delivery for drinks. The music was great, there was a table what seemed to be influencers, it felt as service was focused more towards the group as drinks continuously arrived to their tables as we waited and watched for a bit. As a visitor from out of state I had some expectations for everything to meddle well. We come from a city where our bars have populated itself with mixologists where they can craft the most pleasant drinks. It’s something that we truly appreciate—the craftsmanship of a cocktail and all of the special notes that are added to bring a drink alive and enjoyable and to know that wasn’t here was a sad ending to the night. Wouldn’t come back here again when I revisit NOLA.
Had a reservation with a small group of girls for the first night of my bachelorette and waited over 45 mins for cocktails. When we got our food about 30 mins later we had trouble flagging down our server for a while. We were so excited to come here and left super underwhelmed, the decor and ambiance is absolutely stunning but not worth our time unfortunately
This bar is beautifully appointed and has great bartenders who can make great cocktails. I recommend the espresso martini especially. They also have a good mezcal selection!
