New Orleans

Consider using a rideshare service to visit N7 to fully enjoy the wine selection without the worry of parking.

Set in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood, N7 offers a unique dining experience that blends French cuisine with a touch of Japanese influence. This distinctive combination results in a menu that varies daily, with larger seasonal changes, promising diners fresh and diverse flavors. The restaurant's intriguing setting, located behind a wooden fence amidst a lush garden, adds to its charm, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Previously a tire shop and, before that, a stable for carriage horses, the space has been transformed into a tranquil dining oasis where guests can enjoy gourmet meals in a relaxed atmosphere.

N7’s wine bar emphasizes small European winemakers who embrace a natural approach to vinification. By focusing on these unique, handmade wines, N7 provides a distinctive selection, encouraging guests to complement their meals with exceptional vintages. The setting offers seating in a garden area or under a covered pavilion, making it adaptable to the ever-changing Louisiana weather.

While the venue is strictly for adults, making it unsuitable for families with children under 18, it is ideal for intimate gatherings or romantic dinners. Moreover, N7 accommodates larger parties with prior reservations, offering an attractive location for weddings and private events. The fusion of French and Japanese elements along with the restaurant’s European wine selection provides a unique cultural blend that adds a modern, sophisticated twist to the local dining scene.

A unique hidden gem! N7 is a wonderful place, cozy and peaceful. Their COOlinary menu is exquisite, the cocktails are refreshing, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. A great place for good food, drinks, and a little magic in between. Highly recommended!

Went to N7 for my friend’s birthday dinner and the first thing I have to say is WOW at the atmosphere! From the moment you walk through the gate, it feels like you’ve been transported into this hidden, magical garden. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, but the garden is definitely the star of the show. I also didn’t realize before going that N7 is a French restaurant and wine bar, with a pretty extensive selection of wines. I was doing Sober June, so no wine for me, but I had a mocktail that was absolutely delicious. I ordered the fish of the day and gave it a solid 9/10. I honestly don’t remember what kind of fish it was 😂, but the flavor was definitely there! My only complaint was the portion, I could’ve used a little more on that plate. Everyone at our table really enjoyed their food, though. Also, keep in mind that the menu changes frequently, including larger seasonal changes, so I would definitely check the menu before you go if you have your heart set on something specific. And a huge shoutout to Ladarian! He really made sure we had a great experience. He was knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and pretty much every random question we threw his way. Overall, such a delightful birthday dinner and one of those restaurants you go to for the entire experience, not just the food. My ratings: Food: 9/10 Drinks: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 20/10 ✨

Easily one of the best food + ambiance experiences in New Orleans, whether sitting in an intimate indoor table or in the outdoor courtyard. The cocktail and wine list is noteworthy, and the food is especially great. Highly recommend the steamed mussels and the steak au poivre. The tartes are elevated flatbread with incredible toppings, and were also surprisingly filling. We were too full for dessert, so we are looking forward to coming back to complete the review.

The atmosphere is really off the charts here if you get a nice courtyard table with a gentle breeze and just the right amount of soft lighting. The service team is charismatic, and the menu was fresh and the food was delicious! I was visiting for a conference and I’m so glad someone recommended this spot! One note, the entrance is somewhat hidden, just look for a large wooden door with a camera facing down towards the sidewalk.

Definitely some of the tastiest - and prettiest - food in New Orleans. Lots of color and flavor. It was my 2nd visit the other night. 4 of the pictures below are marked with 2022 - my first visit. The others were from this week!
