What a spectacular place. I was starving and craving a slice. Happened upon this place by good fortune. Delicious pizza by the slice. Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Whether traveling solo or hanging out with friends, this is a wonderful spot to hang at and enjoy good pizza and great hospitality.
Forbidden Pizza is a standout spot for anyone craving authentic New York–style pizza. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside with just the right chew, and the sauce and toppings come together in a simple but genuinely delicious way that feels true to classic NY slices. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is just as memorable. The interior bar area features bold, Medusa-themed artwork and graphics that give the space a unique, almost mythic vibe. It adds a creative edge that sets the restaurant apart from typical pizza spots. Between the high-quality pizza and the visually striking design, Forbidden Pizza delivers both great flavor and a distinctive dining experience worth coming back for.
This pizza spot has become my go to! It's so easy to grab pizza by the slice and it's some of the best I've ever had. They also have an awesome lounge area with open seating and a bar. My fave slices have been the Forbidden Fruit and Italian Stallion. It's perfect for thin crust New York style lovers. The staff are always friendly as well.
Omg, I want to gatekeep this spot to myself. But they are so phenomenal that they deserve all the business they can get! This was my 1st time trying this place and let's just say EVERYTIME, I come to NOLA from now on, this will be a must on my list of places to eat. Im a New Yorker, this pizza just hit home for me, everything about it screamed NYC style Pizza! It was fresh, made to order and the choices were amazing! My hats off to the chef on their menu and creations! They are a 20/10 for me and I dont just say that about any pizza outside of NYC. But they got the formula down to a tee, so much so I brought back with me whole pie on a 5 hrs drive back to Houston because it was that good! In the 3 days I was in NOLA, we ate here 2 nights in a row and brought one back, thats enough said about this amazing hidden gem! Chef's Kiss and they get my New Yorker Approval. Will be daydreaming and talking about this place until my next visit in the city. Thank you guys for the moment of nostalgia, you gave me and making such amazing pizza with lots of love! It shows and can taste it in the in pizza! 🤌 Chef's Kiss!🍕
My friend was back in town, so we decided to stop by Forbidden Pizza. It was my first time visiting this pizza place, but I already did hear a lot of hype about it. Safe to say that the hype was matched! The service was nice and helpful when we had questions about their pizza. The inside was actually pretty spacious and clean in contrast of how it looks outside. We got a whole pizza with two different flavors: The Forbidden Fruit (Shredded Mozzarella,Fresh Mozzarella, Fig Jam, and Bacon) & The Italian Stallion (Tomato Sauce, Shredded Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon and Basil). The total was around $36.00. For the pizza, so delicious! The crust was crispy and hot, but my favorite would have to be the forbidden fruit pizza. The mix of fig jam and bacon really did add a unique taste to pizza, but it worked. Even thought it is on the pricier side, I do understand since it’s in the Warehouse District and the quality is pretty high. There’s only street parking so do be aware of that. Overall, I enjoyed my pizza stop at Forbidden Pizza.
