One of the best hotel stay that I have ever had. Great character and flair in keeping with the spirit of New Orleans. They even give 2 drinks token for the awesome R bar downstairs. I had my own balcony so truly had the NEW ORLEANS EXPERIENCE.
We spent a month next door to the R Bar. It quickly became our local. Chris, Heather, Margaret and Jess quickly made us feel at home. DO try the Agave Garden, Mezcal Pimms and the rest of Heather’s creations. We’ll be back! Next time we’ll get a haircut too.
I wanted to visit her because of it's role in NCIS New Orleans. The exterior of the building is just as it appears on TV. The interior is different, that which is shown on TV was a sound-stage set built in Elmwood. The place has a nice friendly atmosphere, the drinks are good and fairly priced. It's busy, with lots of folks coming and going. A great place to people watch and enjoy good conversation. It's also dog-friendly. I recommend it!
We stayed here for the first weekend of Mardi Gras in 2026. The room was amazing with Sonos sound systems in every room and comfortable beds and high quality pillows. More than the room though, we were super impressed with how friendly the staff was. They were very accommodating, holding our bags on our last day. Plus the bar is excellent and it’s just outside the main drag, but easily walkable to great food, bars and parades. 10 out of 10.
