This will be a long one, but will hopefully answer as many questions as possible. The "rooms" are of excellent variety. Suites, rooms, and full houses. Every single rental is unique and has its own personality. If you are looking for the sterility of the Hilton, or the Motel free stale breakfast, this isn't for you. The rooms are charming, with old fashioned decor, and extremely comfortable. The pictures are NOT trickery. The space is more than enough for a vacation stay. The environment is stunning. They have managed to create a peaceful little oasis in the middle of NOLA chaos. There ARE stairs. I am unsure if they have handicap accessible rooms, so be aware and call ahead. The Petite Maison we rented had a full kitchen and living room. It became an amazing haven to take a rest as well as easy access to drop things off or just get some AC. Also, the AC and insulation were excellent. There is also a lovely little pool with fountain. Great for a quick dip to cool off or relax. The Service: I cannot express enough how wonderful the service is here. There is someone at the desk 24 hours. The cleaner comes through daily. They go above and beyond to accommodate special requests. It was our daughter's 21st birthday and they procured a cake, ice cream, candles, even plastic plates and plastic silverware. We walked in, and there was her birthday cake on the table. After a 7 hour drive, that was AMAZING. It took a large chunk of stress out of the celebration. Also, the cake was DELICIOUS. All of the staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. The Location: This couldn't be in a better spot. Turn right out of the front door, right at the end of the block and you are on Bourbon Street. NOLA is VERY walkable. The Olivier House Hotel is in a premium location. You are right near Bourbon Street and Dauphine, but tucked away so the noise doesn't reach you for the most part. The cost may SEEM prohibitive, but it was honestly worth every single penny. The peace of the environment, the staff, the service, and the sense of security were above and beyond any hotel at which we've stayed.

We had an incredible stay and would absolutely come back again. The location is perfect, the house is beautiful, and the history behind it is what makes it so special. The staff went above and beyond—they gave us fantastic local recommendations, shared the history of the house, and even told us about their own experiences there, which made our stay feel much more personal. One of our favorite parts was the three resident cats. They were incredibly friendly and added so much charm and character to the property. I’ve seen some lower reviews from people complaining about the lack of modern amenities, but I think they’re missing the point. This is a beautifully preserved house that’s over 200 years old. If you’re expecting a brand-new luxury hotel with every modern convenience, then that’s where you should stay. But if you appreciate history, original architecture, unique character, and beautifully preserved rooms, this place is absolutely perfect. It offers an experience you simply can’t get from a chain hotel. We loved every minute of our stay and would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something truly unique.

Olivier House is my new favorite place to stay when visiting New Orleans. If you like staying in an 1800s hotel with several courtyards and history this is where you should stay. They upgraded me to a balcony room so that was a plus and the hotel kitties was a nice too. Already planning my next stay.

This place has beauty and charm and everything in between! The rooms are something out of Gone With the Wind! The staff is amazing, the beds are comfortable, every corner you turn has a secret garden and the pool is so cool with a water feature. I can’t say enough about this awesome place and location is the best. We will be back!!

This was literally the best hotel experience we have ever had!!! The staff were absolutely incredible and helpful and kind. There were free snacks (biscotti, clementines, little donut holes, etc) and free water bottles in the common area which was so nice. The property was super old and cool while being one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed!!!! We booked a queen room and think we were upgraded to a king room. The bed was sooooo comfortable and as mentioned- SO clean!!!! The only downside are the walls are really thin but luckily we were only next to a crying kid and not insanely drunk people :p. Location was right off bourbon if you’re into that, but was super quiet and safe. All in all, this place exceeded our expectations and I would 100% recommend!!
