Everything was beautiful! I rented a cabana section, and the entire experience was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Mr. Russell and his team provided outstanding customer service, and my family had an unforgettable time. I highly recommend The Blue Crawfish Hotel & Bar for any family gathering or special event!
So I’m giving this review 2 stars because the food was actually really good. But I had been following their IG for a while and really wanted to try the jazz brunch which was marketed as something grown, sexy, classy. So imagine our surprise when we get there, and someone is setting up for their child’s 10th birthday party…30 mins later the tiny pool is filled with like 20 screaming splashing kids. In my opinion the jazz brunch needed to have separate hours from any kids function. I felt like I was on a vacation with a bunch of kids. Couldn’t even get in the water without getting hit with a pool noodle. Definitely not the vibe I was expecting for a grown and sexy jazz brunch. Anyway, the place itself didn’t give luxury as it was advertised, they just basically slapped some fake grass walls up. the “cabanas” are just two loungers put together with literal curtains from Walmart over the top and one side. Cushions also had stains. No tables or fans either and they wanted $200 for this!!! Basically you can’t sit anywhere around the pool for free, unless you’re sitting on the hot ass concrete. Keep in mind the heat index, but they had no umbrellas or fans anywhere. The heat was unbearable. Then, omg, the bathrooms are porta potties (luxury?? 😒 and porta potties in this heat? Lawd I didn’t even try it). THEN!! At one point the security guard took his uniform off and got in the pool with his socks on!!! IKYL. Not to mention the pool itself had cloudy, hot water that was overly chlorinated. Me and my girl were so disappointed and will not return.
I went for the day pass. The pool is cute but a little warm but to be expected in the middle of summer. The bar was cute, cocktails are reasonably priced, and I thought the food was good. My major down side is there were soooo many kids and while I love kids I do think as someone purchasing a day pass it was a lot and it made me a bit uncomfortable. I think maybe the hotel should have a kids free hours.
Brought my sons and nephew, we had a ball!! Very respectful staff, the vibes were exactly what I expected.. The heated pool was amazing, there’s also a lazy river. The crawfish were very delicious, I can tell they took their time to soak them because of how flavorful they were.. We’ll definitely be making another visit and even more after that.. I might just be back on tomorrow, that’s just how much I enjoyed myself.. Thanks for having us and making it affordable for all..
