I stayed at the Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center and was greeted by a great front desk employee named Renae who from start until the day I left gave the best 5 star customer service you can ever expect when entering this great hotel for the 1st. time. He was very interested in making sure my experience was top notch. Followed by, I must say, one of the most professional managers in the customer business industry hands down Mr. Keith. Both exhibited from Mr. Renae in the morning when I arrived to the evening where Mr. Keith was always front and center treating me as I arrived back to my room. I don’t know where Hampton Hotel found these two individuals they should by acknowledged for giving me and my family the upmost representation of a 5 star hotel. Please, when booking the Hampton Inn New Orleans Convention Center Hotel find these guys so that you will get the piece of mind and the experience that I received from this greatly designed hotel. Thanks again!
Stayed here for a work conference and the location directly across from the Convention Center couldn't have been more convenient. I also loved that it's a beautifully converted warehouse with tons of character, including super high ceilings and huge windows that make the space feel open and unique. The beds were very comfortable. The small pool area was nice, and the complimentary hot breakfast was a great bonus. A huge shout-out to Kristi, who was absolutely wonderful and made us feel so welcome. She truly deserves a raise! The only downside was that several of the other front desk staff acted as though answering questions or helping guests was an inconvenience. Also, Google lists the hotel as having a restaurant, but it doesn't. It does, however, have a bar on-site. Overall, a great stay.
We stayed here for one night while preparing to embark on a cruise on Carnival. The hotel was very clean and accommodating. We had a decent rate paid about $180 a decent free breakfast in the morning. Quiet. They provide free shuttle to port to your ship. Centrally located to downtown and close to French quarters eateries museums and freeways. It was quiet so was able to sleep well.
I was booked here by my work. And overall the hotel was great. It is an older hotel and could use an update. However our stay was great. All the staff was amazing and attentive. Each of them greeted us when we would see them. The breakfast was typical hampton inn breakfast and I loved the omelets we had one day they were amazing for hotel food. The housekeeping is done every other day However you can ask for it to be done more often and ask for additional items if needed. We used the valet parking ad we had a rental car and did not want to leave it on the street but there are some free street parking spots of you arrive early and dont mind leaving your vehicle. But the free spots are not park of the hotels parking they are just located around the area. We are planning to book here for next year when we do our cruise as they have shuttles to the port and back. The location is by the interstate so keep that in mind but it did not bother me and I couldnt really hear it. But the area around the hotel seemed very quiet and safe. We walked to the french quarters which was about a 25 min walk but enjoyed the scenery. There is the hop on hop off bus stop right by the hotel at the convention center and there are other transit options available.
Basic room. The hallway smelled like wet dog. Our room was located right next to an elevator that did not work & a storage room where the housekeepers woke us up a little before 9am while gathered in this area. They were talking so loud for so long, I had to go out & ask them to please keep it down. We received a letter that our water was not to be used to brush our teeth and was amazed that there was no complimentary water left in our room for the inconvenience. The continental breakfast was nice, but I was surprised that there was no fruit served. Lastly, our room overlooked a rooftop. Update: thanks for reaching out. I would also like to add that the showers drain needs to be cleaned out. The water was backing up when I showered and there was no bodywash. It needs to be refilled. Also, we were not left any soap for the sink. Good thing we brought our own soaps. Room #453
