So we came here for a work related function. First off, I don't do karaoke. And I'm not into the bar scene. However my wife loves karaoke. She had a blast! The waiting list to sing is long so get there early and add your name and song to the list. It took an hour before my wife got her turn. She killed it! Our company reserved the upstairs for our group which was awesome.
Drinks were good but bartender was slow and didn't pay enough attention to the whole bar just one end. Entertainment was great and they got you involved. It was a blast!
I am so glad I walked inside! I was on a solo day trip from visiting a friend in Baton Rouge and I ended up making some great connections there. I had a blasts talking and drinking with people in the crowd. The karaoke hosts are fun, chaotic, and know how to keep the crowd hyped! The mics are great to sing on also! Great sound!!
I admit that I’m probably biased on this place because it is one of the places where my now wife and I went on our first date. However, I’ve been back several times since and it’s always the same… lots of groups hanging out taking turns singing. Their Hurricane is one of my favorites in NOLA because it’s sweeter than most others. They could stand to update their video system and probably lots of other things but it’s just a dive bar with karaoke. If you go in with that expectation, you’ll be more than pleased!!
