An absolute hidden gem! Very comfortable, clean and has soul. Super spacious with an incredible large upstairs deck. Downstairs is stocked with an amazing kitchen and a billiards room. Multiple pianos, Truly a musicians dream Inn. We will definitely be coming back with a group of friends next time we’re in town. A satisfying stay! 10 outta 10 would recommend 🤌🏼🤌🏼
The Old Jail is the perfect get away in the heart of New Orleans for a single room or multiple rooms if you’ve got a group trip to Louisiana. The vibe is immaculate and the owner/operator Todd is the ultimate party host with enough recommendations and Bourbon Street wisdom to keep your itinerary lively and epic. Skip the French Quarter chaos and stay at this epic spot!
I’d highly recommend staying in this piece of history. It’s a very unique accommodation. It’s not everyday I’ve had an uber driver drop me off at a hotel and say “back when I was a juvenile delinquent, I had to stay here back in the day”. The caretaker, Todd, was good at responding to my questions via text. The communal area is very pleasant and the coffee station is stocked. During Mardi Gras, the king cake was a nice touch. Cheers!
This is such a unique and fun place to stay. There’s history, there’s style, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We were also told by some locals that we’re staying in the coolest neighborhood in New Orleans!
This place was amazing to stay in! The concept altogether is fitting for being in NOLA but this was very cool! The rooms and entire Inn keep the old 1900s jail feel but with modern updates for comfort which I 100% appreciated! And the bedding...it was like sleeping on a cloud! It was hard for me to get up in the morning because I was TOO comfortable! The bathrooms were so clean and I loved the rainshower! My recommendation there would be to replace the shower liner. But towels, washcloths, and bedding smelled fresh! Like they just came out the dryer with that nice clean scent...I loved that! There is find your own spot street parking, but I can say I NEVER had trouble finding a spot next to the jail, and I was in and out alot. This place is privately owned and the owner was VERY nice! Greeted me with a smile and showed me around then gave me a tour of the place. He's very responsive to guests questions and sends a great list of places to eat and visit in the area that are walking distance from Inn! I dont want to give away too much because this is a place you just have to go experience...no review will do it justice for what you see in person..I loved it and am telling EVERYONE I know about it! 10/10 worth it...I will be back soon!
