A cozy bar and restaurant with a strong local vibe. It appears family run and has quaint decor. Service was fine, though locals seemed to get a bit more attention than tourists. The food is flavorful, well made, and reasonably priced, with good deals like Taco Tuesday and weekday happy hour. Good for drinks and bar bites.
Lucy's was recommended by our hotel and locals. It did not disappoint. We came in mainly for drinks but ended up getting an appetizer. Bryce was an excellent mixologist! I hate we found this spot on our last night in NOLA, but I have it saved for a future visit!!
Stopped by Lucy’s today for our first meal in NOLA and couldn’t have been happier with the result. We took the waitresses recommendation and tried the fish and chips, and this was absolutely some of the best fish and chips I have ever had! The spice level was spot on and the fish was moist and tender. Great introduction to the local food here. Don’t miss it!
I just love this place, we make it a point to visit multiple times everytime we go to New Orleans. It has a less touristy feel, you feel like you're hanging with the locals. On a hot day their frozen drinks are COLD, they'll definitely lower your body temperature (and give you brain freeze if you're not careful). The burgers are delicious and the Happy Hour specials are a great bargain. Cheap drinks aren't always easy to find in New Orleans, so those specials are extra nice. They have indoor seating and an enclosed outdoor patio. You can also go up the steps to sit on the balcony. Great location, close to the Convention Center and the downtown hotels. Try a Scorpion Shot if you're feeling brave. 🦂 I also believe it's pet friendly, on our last visit there was a cute pup at the table next to us.
I highly highly recommend this place for TexMex, drinks and great vibes. I forgot to take pics of the menu but selection was decent. I had the blackened fish taco and the beef taco and both were amazing. So good I ordered another round with the coconut margarita. The inside courtyard is 👌 👍 Bar and lighting was good. Everything is clean. Second floor and balcony seating also good. Go to this place you won't be disappointed.
