We chose this massage studio because it had the best reviews compared to all the other massage places in the area, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The massage therapists are from China, and they are exceptionally skilled. They gave massages to me and both of my daughters, and we all had a great experience. My therapist had incredibly strong hands—I actually had to ask him several times to ease up because the pressure was so intense. If you enjoy deep tissue massages, this is definitely the place for you. I’m convinced he could handle even the toughest, strongest client with ease. The prices are very reasonable, and everything was spotless. The massage table was comfortable, the towels were fresh and clean, and the entire space was well maintained. There were no unpleasant odors or signs of poor hygiene, making it a very relaxing environment. Soft music was playing, the lighting created a warm and peaceful atmosphere, and it was easy to unwind from the moment we walked in. Most importantly, it was obvious that the therapists truly know what they’re doing. They have an excellent understanding of human anatomy and muscle structure, and every movement felt intentional and professional. I highly recommend this place. It’s honestly hard to imagine a better massage experience.
You do a lot of walking in NoLa. So a foot massage was something I wanted to treat myself to. I was having dinner with my sister at Zesty Creole and while at dinner I was looking at reviews for massage spas in the area. I was torn between 2 options. Both were less than a 5 minute walk form the restaurant. Both places had their good share of decent and poor reviews. So I decided to choose the lesser of the two evils. After dinner, I decided to try out Seven Qi Spa. Located at 922 Canal St, when you walk past the shop, you can hear their employees urge the people passing by to get a massage. I went in for a 40 minute foot massage which was supposed to be $46. When I was getting my feet massaged, a second worker approached me and asked me if I wanted a shoulder massage. They proceeded to move my hair away from my shoulders. I understand it was a selling tactic, but I explicitly only asked for a foot massage, and did not consent to anything in addition. I politely declined. The second employee proceeded to put their hands on my shoulders, and tell me “to try” the shoulder massage. At this time I firmly told them no thank you. They stopped and left me be with the first employee massaging my feet. The foot massage was satisfactory. Pressure was consistent. At the end they rubbed my feet with a warm cloth, which I found soothing. After the 40 minute foot massage I proceed to the back, to pay for the service. The employee asked me how much I wanted to tip. I stated I wanted to tip $10. Keep in mind the service was supposed to be $46. I choose to pay with my credit card. They tapped a total onto a calculator and proceeded to show me “60” in an effort to reduce any misunderstandings because of the possibility of a language barrier. I said ok. And the charged my card. When I received my receipt, it stated that I was charged $63.60. The $3+ for sales tax was not a big deal. I just felt that I was in some way taken advantage of because I specifically verified with them before the service, that it would cost $46 and once the service was completed, that I only wanted to tip $10. So would I go back to this establishment the next time I visit NoLa? Sure. I wanted a massage and I got a massage. Lost a few dollars, but in the grand scheme of things. It all could have been worse. For context, when I’m at home in NY, I typically get massages in Manhattan or Queens. So a 40 minute foot massage at $63.60 is a bargain.
I went here TWICE on a 4 day trip to New Orleans. Good prices and friendly staff Such a nice treat for my feet after walking all day. Good firm pressure on my back. They got out some deep knots. I highly recommend this place for a great combo massage.
