We celebrated our wedding anniversary in NOLA and this hotel was absolutely amazing, 10/10 experience! They really exceeded my expectations. When you first walk into the hotel it smells so good and clean. Our room was also clean and well maintained. The room had everything to make you feel like you're at home with a full refrigerator, stove, microwave, and kitchen supplies. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was completely shocked when I saw pets and found out it was a pet friendly hotel and they continue to make the hotel look and smell amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I ever get the chance to travel back to NOLA I know where I'm staying!
We’ve stayed at this hotel every year for the past four years during Essence Festival, and it’s always been one of our favorite places to stay. It’s become part of our annual tradition because of the spacious accommodations, the courtyard, the pool area, the location and the overall atmosphere. Our family has made so many great memories here, which is why this review is difficult to write. Unfortunately, it’s become obvious that the property is not being maintained the way it once was. During our most recent stay, we saw multiple large rats and large roaches in the courtyard area, which was extremely disappointing and concerning. We also noticed peeling paint throughout the property, giving the hotel a worn-down appearance. Inside our room, it was clear that it could benefit from more than just routine housekeeping. The carpet needs an extreme deep cleaning, the walls could use fresh paint, and the bathrooms; as well as the kitchen area — needs a thorough deep clean. We genuinely love this hotel and would hate to stop making it part of our Essence Festival tradition. However, we also spend thousands of dollars to stay here each year, and with that investment comes the expectation of a clean, well-maintained property. This review isn’t meant to discourage others from staying here—it’s meant in hopes that management will invest in restoring this property to the level it deserves. We’d love to continue making memories here for years to come, but only if we begin to see meaningful improvements.
I stayed here for 7 nights and I was very happy with my choice. The location in the Warehouse District was ideal, within easy walking distance of the National WWII Museum, the riverfront, the St Charles streetcar and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was a real bonus, especially after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was included and, while fairly basic, was more than adequate and a nice convenience. The complimentary popcorn in reception was also a thoughtful touch. Housekeeping was provided on request rather than automatically, which seems to be common in New Orleans. Whenever I asked for fresh towels or additional supplies, they were provided promptly. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, and this offered an excellent combination of location, comfort and value for money. I would happily stay here again.
The perfect home base for an extended trip or anyone attending an event at the Convention Center. The location is excellent—within walking distance of the WWII Museum and some of the best restaurants in the Warehouse District. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the fact that we could save a bit of money by using the kitchen in our suite. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!
