My wife and I took a spontaneous trip to New Orleans and happened to stumble upon Whiskey & Sticks—and we’re so glad we did! This place is an absolute gem with great vibes, great conversations, great music, and genuinely great people. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Our bartenders, JP and Terrez, were friendly, knowledgeable, and crafted some incredible drinks. Beyond the cocktails, what really stood out was the atmosphere. There was a perfect mix of younger and seasoned locals and visitors, all sharing stories and insights about the history, culture, and community of New Orleans. If you’re looking for more than just a bar—if you want an authentic NOLA experience with amazing hospitality, excellent drinks, and a welcoming crowd—Whiskey & Sticks is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit.
Whiskey and Sticks is definitely the place to be in New Orleans! Make sure you ask for Dana and Belinda—they'll go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing experience. And if you meet Belinda, ask her for the famous "slow, smell-good walk!" 🤣 All jokes aside, the atmosphere, hospitality, and overall vibe were outstanding. What started as a unplan stop to enjoy a cigar for my brother's birthday turned into a three-day visit. The staff made us feel right at home, and the experience was unforgettable. This has officially become our new spot in the Big Easy. We can't wait to come back
Whiskey & Sticks is easily one of the most unique and memorable spots in New Orleans. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits you—in the best way possible. The place perfectly blends a sophisticated whiskey lounge with the laid-back energy that makes New Orleans nightlife so special. It feels upscale without being pretentious, which is a rare balance to strike. The whiskey selection is incredible. Whether you’re someone who casually enjoys a good bourbon or a serious whiskey enthusiast, there’s something here for you. The staff clearly knows their stuff and are more than happy to help guide you toward something you’ll love. I asked for a recommendation and ended up discovering a whiskey I never would have tried otherwise. That kind of experience is what makes a place memorable. What really sets Whiskey & Sticks apart, though, is the cigar experience. Their humidor is impressive and thoughtfully curated, with options for both beginners and experienced cigar smokers. Sitting outside with a great cigar and a glass of whiskey while soaking in the New Orleans atmosphere is hard to beat. It feels like the kind of place where time slows down and you can actually relax and enjoy the moment. The service is also outstanding. Everyone working there was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. They strike the perfect balance of being attentive without hovering. It’s also just a great place to hang out with friends or meet interesting people. Conversations flow easily, the vibe is social but relaxed, and the entire place feels thoughtfully designed for a good time. If you’re in New Orleans and want something a little different from the typical bar scene, Whiskey & Sticks is a must-visit. Great whiskey, great cigars, great people, and an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. I’ll absolutely be back.
Loved my first visit, and can't wait to go back. Wednesday nights with a DJ and Belinda behind the bar. Feels like home already.
It was a great experience of New Orleans life going from the late evening into the night. The terrific atmosphere complimented the gorgeous lights of the establishment. I give a big thumbs up to Whiskey & Sticks.
