Inn on St Ann
New Orleans
Beoordelingen
We booked this hotel through Expedia the same afternoon after spending the day exploring New Orleans in extreme heat. When we arrived around 7 PM, the hotel was locked with no staff on-site, despite the lights being on. We called on a given number and ended up waiting outside with our luggage for about 40 minutes while customer service searched for our booking, still on call, had us complete additional forms, and asked us to download an app for the room key. This entire process could have been communicated before arrival, and they could’ve sent someone for help, which would have saved us a lot of time and frustration. Once we finally got inside the hotel, the lady asked us to go through the form again, where we spent another 15min. We were surprised to be taken to a room in a separate building down an alley instead of the room we expected from the listing, which was supposed to be the top floor with balcony. The room was inside an alley, with no windows and a wooden wall outside the door. The room itself was acceptable for one night, but the AC was very noisy, the toilet was unstable, and the towels had stains. Overall, the biggest issue was the poor check-in experience and lack of communication. After a long, exhausting day of travel, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. We won't be staying here again and wouldn't recommend it unless the property improves its check-in process and clearly informs guests what to expect before arrival.
Mr. Duane and his staff were the best! They made me not want to stay anyway else from now on. This is an Inn, not a hotel, but I was very happy with my accommodations. We had the best room in the place, and it did not disappoint! A fridge, coffee maker, PLUS a private balcony?!? It was an amazing room. I don’t think the other rooms had those amenities, but there is a microwave and coffee maker, when you first enter the building. The location of the Inn itself is PERFECT. It’s literally 5 mins walking distance from everything but far enough away to get a good nights rest. We will definitely be back ☺️
This room (#51) was such a calm, comfortable hidden gem of a space! The courtyard and the rooms attached are across the street and about 1/4 block away from the main house (a private, locked entryway to the courtyard corridor is accessed with the hotel key card). I shall definitely return in the future!
Our room was spacious, clean, and located just far enough from Bourbon Street to enjoy it when we wanted to but avoid the noise when we didn't. The television was mounted in an odd spot, but we weren't there to watch television. It does have its quirks--the building is very, very old--but the historical charm made it all worth it. Plus, they were able to help me surprise my partner with a cake on his 40th birthday! We'll definitely choose this family of inns in the future. Thanks for the great stay!
