The very first bar I came to in New Orleans was bourbon pub I usually come to New Orleans twice a year yesterday I was paying five dollars for a rum and Coke at Rawhide seven or eight dollars at balcony bar. Good friends was also very inexpensive. Then I come to Bourbon pub and the drink was $13 for a very small rum and Coke. Price gauging for Southern Decadence or the normal price! I will spend my money elsewhere! I’m sure they do not need my money!

I’ve been going to the Bourbon Pub since the 1990’s, this place is in need of a bar rescue. The ownership has allowed the place to fall into disrepair while raising prices and eliminating things the regular customers have come to expect. Cleanliness: The painted plywood above the ice bins in the downstairs has accumulated so much dust and grime that it’s falling into the ice bins. The plywood was put up years ago to solve this problem but has been neglected for years and is adding to the grossness. The bathrooms are beyond disgusting. Painting a leaky ceiling blue and installing dim lights doesn’t cover up the smell or puddles of water/piss on the floor. When was the last time the urinals were cleaned and fresh screens put in? Pricing The owner eliminated happy hour on weekends which has caused locals to go elsewhere. A can of beer should never cost $10.00. The owner also eliminated popcorn. Weekend crowds used to enjoy sitting around the bar eating popcorn and drinking. Everyone, with the exception of this owner, knows that serving salty popcorn causes people to drink more. Service The bartenders do a good job interacting with their customers. It’s just sad on Sunday afternoons, there are no longer enough customers to keep four bartenders busy. This bar used to be packed on weekends but during my last several visits, if there are 6-7 customers in the whole bar, that’s a busy day.

Went for a lesbian/ girls night. Was fun, they had enough staff, and environment was cool. Loved the dj. Maybe better marketing bc my straight friend told me about it and there can definitely be more girls attending.
