Great location! But this hotel is overrated. Kind of disappointing…. It’s nice, people are friendly, but that’s what I expect as a minimum of every hotel. I didn’t feel the extra. It was good. The bathroom is missing a fan, after taking a shower it takes a while until the mirrors defog. We got lucky the rain had stopped, otherwise we would have had to walk in the rain around the hotel, because they locked the door of the walk through from parking garage to hotel. Our main reason to book this hotel was the carousel bar. But that was under construction not being mentioned anywhere. The operation of it is moved to their restaurant bar which is definitely not the same. Danielle at the roof top bar was awesome though! She made our start of the evening to be a very nice experience!
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again! The hotel has so much New Orleans charm, with beautiful chandeliers, artwork, and intricate architectural details. It’s in a great location, just steps from Bourbon Street, and we had a wonderful view of the water from our room. American Airlines somehow canceled our reservation, but the woman at the front desk was incredibly patient, kind, and accommodating despite my husband’s understandable frustration. She was able to give us the exact same room we had originally booked. Our room was spacious with beautiful vintage furniture that fit the hotel’s historic character. There was a slight musty smell, which is to be expected in an older historic building, but the updated bathroom was lovely. We also loved the large bar area with its cozy lighting and seating. The bell staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel only offers valet parking, but we appreciated knowing our vehicle was secure in the garage. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
Stayed here for a long weekend in April for our first time visiting New Orleans and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We are able to check in several hours early and our room was beautiful. The daily housekeeping was impeccable and they always left our room looking brand new. The location was also great and we loved the Carousel Bar. Would 100% stay here again!
The rooftop pool at Hotel Monteleone was one of the highlights of our girls’ trip to New Orleans! We spent two different days at the pool in between our NOLA adventures, and it was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beautiful views of the city. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, and the food and drinks were excellent. The poolside service made it easy to settle in and enjoy the day. A special thank you to Samantha, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable, even during busy times. She helped us find chairs, made sure towels were available, and was even checking that guests had sunscreen. Her attention to detail and genuine care for guests really stood out. Christine and Angie at the bar crafted fabulous New Orleans-style cocktails and added to the fun with their friendly service. Tavi, our server, kept us well fed, checked on us regularly, and made sure our space stayed clean and comfortable throughout the day. The entire team delivered exceptional hospitality and helped make our girls’ getaway even more memorable. We looked forward to returning each day and would absolutely recommend the rooftop pool experience to anyone staying at Hotel Monteleone. 🍹☀️🏙️💕
I was here for a week long conference and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy. The location was perfect for walking around. The bar was amazing with good drinks and even better atmosphere. Even if you don't drink, go! Its a must. And they have an alcohol free menu that doesnt disappoint!
